what you don't understand is that no one here is questioning the skillset of broner.

the fact is that he doesn't possess adequate power at 147 nor has heavy enough hands to succeed.

the chances of pauli surviving 12 rounds against mattyhsse and looking like he did post broner is virtually zero.

in fact, I would say the chances of malignaggi surviving 12 rounds against mattyhsse at 140 would be set around 3/1.

the morales fight is an unfair assessment of cano.

pablo took that fight on ten days notice.

that's like placing full value on angulos ko of Rosado when gabriel took the Alfred fight on a months notice when he was working construction full-time building houses.

Did you see Paulie's face at the end of the fight? His eyes were banged up and he had a big red mark on his neck. He wasn't Berto after the Guerrero fight or anything, but he had CLEARLY been in a fight, where Broners face was spotless.

Hans, Paulie got rocked several times by Broners punches, it was just that Broner never really put his foot on the gas all fight. It was kind of a lazy fight on his part, but the fact is that he threw 300+ less and landed 30+ more. I had a thread somewhere around here where I pointed out each time Paulie was hurt, it was easily 5+ throughout the fight.

I have little doubt Paulie would survive against Matthyse. The guys never come close to being KO'd, even Cano who had him down was never really in any danger of finishing him.

Paulie was never hurt by Broner's punches- deal with it. He was bothered by Hatton's, Cano's and Khan's

    :patsch

He got stopped by Khan for **** sake.

Regarding how that relates to Matthysee, Peterson had been down before against Khan, Bradley and Ortiz, and none of them came close to finishing him off- then Lucas destroyed him in 3 rounds. And no way is Paulie more durable than Ajose who Lucas stopped (very few in boxing are)

If you consider Broner to be a plodder then what is Matthyse? The guy is way overhyped on this forum. He got outboxed by Alexander and almost got outboxed by Judah (though I thought he won that one).

people that claim that Hatton was "shot to ****" after Floyd only say that so they can dimminish Pac's two round destruction of Hatton.

True but he wasn't exactly his Tszyu self, was he?

The most suitable terminology for that version of Hatton would be "past his prime".
