Good fighter....far from great as some fans try to make him out to be.

Paulie beat Senchenko, Senchenko ended Hattons career.

If Hatton was not a pisshead and drug abuser, he would still be a top fighter today, He pissed his talent away.

Lets give it up for Hatton, he beat Paulie by 11th round tko.... just like Amir Khan did...... another Ohhhh so great UK fighter. To be fair Hattons accomplishments were far greater than Khans have been all in all. They've both been extremely overhyped and overrated though, that much they do have in common.

Hatton had limited talent, good fighter like many say but far from elite.

There's also the difference that Roy Jones actually beat those fighters fair and square and not with the help of a lenient referee and disgusting illegal tactics.

Eric Cantona should have said: Hatton beat Jose Luis Castillo and asked what win did Roy Jones have that was a better win? And the answer to that question would be probably that Roy probably had at least 15 wins that were much better than that one.

He's not overrated as no one regards him as an all time great or one of the best of this generation.

What he was though was one hell of a fighter and a strong champion. The Kosta fight was dirty on all parts and a stand out part was how Hatton returned the low blow right after receiving one. He fought anyone anywhere, always left it all in the ring and did great things for boxing in Britain.

He gave Mayweather a tougher fight than others have and was in there with an "all or nothing" attitude which is what happened, he got nothing. Other fighters are happy to survive or just see out a UD loss which isn't the heart of a fighter.

To say Ricky Hatton is a "hype-job" or "glass-jawed" is just plain old hating and ignorance.

This forum continues to go down hill on a daily basis.

Hatton was a solid champion for several years. He lost against the two P4P number 1 fighters of his generation, both in their primes. He'll get into the HOF and can look back on a very good career.

He gets underrated on this site, but on reflection, there are a lot of biased idiotic 'fans' hee (I use the word fans in the losest possible sense).

On the first 8 pages of the general boxing forum you have 6 threads with your filthy Ricky Hatton mentioned in their titles.

So you suckers like to talk about Ricky Hatton? Lets talk about your filthy shitty Ricky ****ing Hatton then, the man who sent Kostya Tzyu into retirement by hitting him on the back of the head repeatedly as if it were a legal thing to do.

He lost to Kostya, you can't claim that it was a win, he would have lost without the punches to the back of the head to mess Kostya up and he should have been disqualified for those deliberate fouls. Any moral and responsible commission would reverse the decision to a Kostya win.

The sucker lost to Kostya, got koed by Mayweather, koed by Manny and then lost to some east euruopean noname fighter. Hattons best win was against a fighter with 7 losses on his record, what a Hero.

I swear if I was ever at a bar and I ran into that filthy piece of **** cocaine snorting little ***** I'd just let my hands go right there and then, he'd deserve the whooping.

You bitches like topics with your hero's name in their titles... well here's one and it's Not! going away.

Hatton is a very good fighter, not great but very good. Dominant champion at 140lbs, beat a slightly past prime Tszyu and was a huge draw.

Yes he lost when he stepped up the the Elites of the division and I think during his reign he was over rated by some but with hindsight and having seen him fall short against Mayweather and Pac he's viewed in a more realistic light.

Overhyped but overrated, no? The Dude was a killer fighter in his prime. A legitimate World champ. Put a peak Hatton in there with Broner and Broner would be pissing blood for weeks after the fight.
