Gavin breaks Vassels jaw

He didn't quit........and Bob Shannon asked the doctor to stop it (from what I could see/tell)


Made me question/wonder how Shannon would of been if Vassell was up regarding the rounds.


Another thing......did I hear Shannon telling Vassell that Gavin was gassing (in the corner) after the first round ?


Anyways.

 

Gavin fought a very clever fight. He picked off Vassell as he come in throwing shots. His accuracy was second to none. Vassell for me.. is a good fighter who maybe could go on to bigger things. Frankie is world class IF he has the dedication to the cause. Vassell caught Frankie once and he rode that fantastic he rolled the punch on the rope.

Lets sit here and be honest Frankie became a disappoint early in his career but his career has started rolling on now. He picked up a very good albeit a boring fight against the awkward Junior Witter and then he has now beat a good domestic opponenet in Vassell.

I think if FW was clever he would work Frankie to the WBO Welterweight owned by Bradley who is defending against JMM. Someone like Chris Van Heerdan or maybe tempt Matthew Hatton into a fight cause as much as he is not a great fighter he is a good name in this country due to his brother.
