Ok so now you say its ok for the ref to step in when a fighter is hurt and give the hurt boxer 3 seconds rest so the ref can see if he can recover and box on . Sounds a silly thing to do can you imagine a boxer has his opponent hurt and the ref says stop boxing boys I want to check how hurt your opponent is .

I think that might cause I few arguments :yep

Dodson was semo conscious and in danger of being snotted whilst in that state. The ref is a pro, he saw Dodson was out and reacted. You honestly think the ref should have given it a few more seconds to see if the guy recovers? Really? What if he doesn't? He gets seriously hurt. The other posters are right, this is a non discussion. Anyone who's boxed would know that to not stop a fight once the guy is out on his feet is asking for serious injury. And Dodson was out on his feet.

Yeah. Small venue, not filled all the way, and those present are quiet.

    Not exactly a titillating atmosphere.

Phil Edwards fumbles through his final instructions, saying "Keep your heads, uh, careful..."

    Round 1

Crolla is jumping in and out with his arms pinned together and stance narrow. Rees swats with some hooks, mistiming as Crolla approaches and skitters back. Crolla is making Rees miss the double jab and high left hook, but not throwing much of his own. Rees puts up a few jabs but they slide off Crolla's wrist. Rees pushes Crolla into the ropes and hooks either side of his body. Crolla skips free. Another lunging body shot by Rees, firing it under the elbow. Flurry into the guard by Rees, pitched forward on the balls of his feet. Crolla hops in place, guard up, waiting on him. Counter jab by Crolla misses over Rees' head. Triple hook by Rees, around the rear glove to nick Crolla's earlobe. Body jab by Rees. They trade jabs before the bell.

    10-9 Rees
