One more fight against dangerous opposition before I can decide.

Dawson can win a belt from Shumanov, but yeah Dawson needs to fight some C class boxer before going for a title shot. Given Dawson's weak mentallity and poor attitude it will be difficult for him to beat some of the top contenders in LHW.

But Dawson did this to himself, he could have cleaned out the LHW division a long time ago. But he has a poor attitude, changing trainers 10 times has made him worse not better. He went back to Eddie Muhammad which I thought was a bad move, ironically Dawson started regressing as a boxer when EM was his trainer back in 2008.

I think he's done at the elite level. Simply too mentally weak to come back IMO.

Mentally something is not right about this cat, for the longest time I saw him as the guy that had all the right tools for greatness. Part of me still does, and he has some. But at this point his mental game has hindered where it has adversely affected other aspects. (IE: training, instability in training and arrogance)

Dawson's chin is china. If he continues his career, his fragile whiskers will get shattered a few more times, no question.

He's coming off two very, very rough losses. One a brutal KO and the other a weight drained beatdown. Not sure if he can rebuild at this point. Not pushing the issue but still not too thrilled about Dawson at this point. Never really enjoyed him, anyways.

Ward drained him. Pascal beat him convincingly! Stevenson destroyed him.

The weight cut for Ward was a serious mistake physically. The damage is already done...

Everyone knows he's skilled and could win another title. But mentally, he's not sharp.

It's his life; but he'd be better off retiring or having one more fight to end on a win and then retiring.

No Bhop did ... Even though he won, he hasn't looked the same since

This is a familiar thing with Bhop opponents:

    Trinidad
    G. Johnson
Taylor (even though he got 2 SD against him)
    Pavlick

Nice guy? He's ****y. You can simply hear in if you listen to him talk for two minutes. The Stevenson loss was the happiest minute I could have asked for. :yep

Oh, and while I like a good technical fighter like none other. Chad Dawson is a sleeper.
