Who next for Golovkin?

Didn't the WBO say that Quillin had to rematch N'Dam in the near future?

 

This is what I want to see.

 

I want to see him against Daniel "I won't duck GGG" Geale, but I actually doubt he'll get past Barker.

 

All these names people keep throwing out there are not plausable. You have to approach this logically.

Golovkin still wants two more fights this year. The next one will be an off TV(HBO) defense against a guy like Mora. Would provide a different style and could potentially give GGG several rounds.

HBO would then have a date for him at the end of the year where they would get a bigger name but I would not hold my breath for a super fight with Ward or a unification with Geale(possibly). It will probably be another contender on Macklin's level.

Rest assured HBO will showcase him a couple more times before even thinking of making the Ward fight.

 

I homestly have no interest in him fighting at smw. He should clean out mw. He would be a midget at smw.

 

He's only 1 inch shorter than Roy Jones and Calzaghe.

But I agree with you that it's premature to talk about him fighting at 168.

 

Sergio, Quillin, JCC Jr. - all fights I don't think happen, probably ever for all I know

Geale/Barker winner - seems highly possible given current landscape (HBO)

Murray - would seem smart to beat the guy who arguably beat the guy to further stock and add that dimension to the theoretical charge to the lineal title

Rubio/Njikam - my dark horse fights that I like, given Golovkin's activity and schedules of the above mentioned guys

 

quillin should just hide behind the showtime fence....quillin is getting ktfo if he fights golovkin.

 

I agree with the others about the Geale/barker winner but kevin is
right on about it not being next for GGG. I think mora and GGG, since
mora had a good win over proksa, will be shown in the fall on HBO.
And we WILL see mora stopped for the 1st time in his career, that u
can bet on.

 

Geale wont fight GGG, he gave up a title in order to avoid fighting him.

 

Lol. Yeah for sure. Mora would get ripped to pieces. For his sake, he should avoid that fight.

 

I'd like to see him take on Martin Murray, while Golovkin definitely made me a believer tonight I'd like to see him against better opposition though. If he can destroy Murray in the same fashion he destroyed Macklin, my god. I think he can make a campaign at 168 as well, If that were dirrell or Oosthuizen in there to tonight they'd be contemplating retirement afterwards haha

 

Ditto. I rate Murray higher than Macklin. If he demolishes Murray in similiar fashion, wow.

 

Watching Curtis Stevens get blasted next would also be fun.

 

For the love of God no more British middleweights. They are all essentially the same fighter.
