Jack Loew is a terrible trainer

    Every fighter he has fight like they were trained by a neighborhood bar bum who decided to hang a heavy bag in his garage and become a boxing trainer because they WERE. Hes completely inept and knows nothing. He was trying to blame it on Willie Nelson for the cameras last night on HBO while they were in the corner by telling him he was fighting like a stupid Fn kid. It's not Nelson's fault, it wasn't Pavliks fault, it wasn't the lightweight who got KOd by John Molina a couple months who's fault. It's him.

    He needs to just acknowledge to everyone he got lucky knowing Kelly Pavlik since he was a kid and has nothing to offer any competitive level fighter. Pavlik got where he got on raw talent and any of these other guys who are under the misconception he's a real trainer will only go as far as their talent will take them. Not to mention he sounds like an abusive a hole. Nelson and whoever else need to leave him or they're done. Guy couldn't train a dog to sit.

    +1. In my mind, Pavlik made it as far as he did in spite of Loew, not because of him. Had Kelly changed trainers sooner, I think he'd have had an even better career than he did. Jack got lucky the right kid walked through the doors for him to build his name on.

    I loved his mastery of sport psychology. "You're gonna blow it." Not "You're blowing it (as in currently, so do this thing so you don't blow it)," just "I have no confidence in your ability to win this fight because you suck."

    Also, I automatically distrust any trainer who wears a police uniform/badge on their cornerman's shirt.

    He said what willie needed to hear. I dont know loew but there isnt much to say when Willie isnt even listening to the most basic instructions. Want loew to pull out a chalk boar an go into detailed instructions in the corner. He kept telling him to use his height an willie wouldnt even do it. when its exactly what he needed to do.They work in the gym.

    Nelson could do so much better. He's young enough things could get fixed and he becomes a more complete fighter with stronger mentality. But he should do it soon.
