No matter how talented a fighter is, Golovkin has proven that the only possible way to beat him is your chin.

Martinez has a bad chin, end of story. Golovkin is an elite level talent and he simply won't be beaten by anyone with a bad chin. You would need to have Martinez level talent and Rosado level chin to ever get past Golovkin.

Everyone loves the greats of the time but sometimes people can't handle the fact that young talent has to take over. Golovkin is that talent and there is nothing "overhyped" about KOing 14 straight opponents and the top level opposition in your division. If Golovkin was from the US he would be fighting on PPV right now.

Martinez has a good chin, but with ggg's power it probably isn't enough.
So he would have to use his big reach advantage, the footwork to stay out of reach, and chest/head movements to dodge the shots, always avoiding offering a stationary target.
The point is, that a prime Maravilla could have done that, but he is now definitely declining, so he would possibily or probably lose against ggg, now.

GGG is bigger than Martinez and has a longer reach, so there's not 'big reach advantage' for martinez.

A prime Martinez could make GGG miss and pot shot him, but current Martinez has not more his legs and has a glass left hand... so GGG would KO Murray's Martinez.

Martinez cant handle his power. As good as he is, he hits the canvas in almost every fight.

Martinez can't handle GGG's power, it's unlikely anyone at Middleweight can. However, GGG is probably going to have at least some difficult catching up to Martinez to deliver said power and on the flipside, Martinez is no light hitter himself and we really haven't seen GGG's chin tested. I'd favor GGG the way the two fighters are looking these days, but styles make fights and I wouldn't write off Martinez totally if they make the fight.

I agree with most of this except I wouldn't favor GGG against Martinez, injuries notwithstanding. GGG is a stalker who cuts off the ring pretty good. Only thing is it's been against very mediocre competition. No one, I mean no one, stalks Martinez because the dude can bang. Fighters get timid against Sergio because of his hand and foot speed. GGG will need a new strategy, which he's capable of, but if he fights Martinez his usual way, I expect Martinez to KO him devastatingly. It's just a matter of time.

The scary thing is Golovkin cuts off the ring ridiculously quick and has speed which catches people off guard. I dont wanna see him at 154 tbh cause theyll be deaths in the sport. But Martinez gets knocked out or stopped. The style you'll need to beat him is a big long authoritative jab and a high guard, Winky Wright kinda style... Just my opinion.

Theres nothing mediocre about Macklin, he should be a World Champion and would beat Quillin, Geale, Murray and Barker. Its just Golovkin is that good

Sergio handles ggg's power by not fighting him.

Martinez is a fade and his current version would be no problem for ggg.

a drunk kp(was in rehab while training for Sergio)gave martinez all he could handle before the cut and ggg has proven one-punch power in both hands as opposed to one.

if you want to see power just look at mcaklins distorted and broken face after three rounds.

this guy is the 160 version of a prime mike Tyson.

He doesn't handle it. He would have to blow GGG away quick with his own bombs before taking anything good back.

He shouldnt be fighting GGG at this stage in his career. He would be stopped. It's guaranteed

Mayweather should be forced to fight GGG as part of his megabucks deal. Force the puss to work for his money
