a fully fit Pirog and Quillin, Sergio's too much over the hill, and Geale will never be anything above solid at best

I think GGG and Quillin are the two best middleweights right now, but Martinez is still the man till he gets beat or steps down.
Quillin gives GGG the most problems right now.

it's something that we don't have to think very long and hard....the stiffest is ward.

after all, ward did call mayweather out at 160.

the last time Ward fought at 160 was in 06/07, after all, he has seen what dropping 8 lbs after so many years does to you firsthand

Martinez and Chavez Jr at this moment since they both bring different things to the table and they both are effective of what they do. Chavez Jr brings height, reach, and size to the table. Chavez rehydrates to LHW around 180 and that usually present a problem to the opponent since there facing a person that 2 weight classes about middleweight. Chavez also display a good chin since we seen tons of fighters take a crack it and it doesn't seem to phase him. Chavez also is a pressure fighter so the match with GGG would be intriguing. With Martinez you have a guy that constantly moving and it be interesting to see how GGG manage to cut off the ring since Martinez is always moving. Let's not forget Martinez can punch also and has some really quick hands and is also a southpaw so it be kinda of interesting to see how GGG deals with that.

Pirog, Mora and Barker based on their style.

Prime Sergio is the best style at Mw to beat GGG but he is not prime and GGG will catch to him. Never saw the Australian dude myself. Murray is too basic. It's prolly Quillin but their fight won't happen. I truly believe that GGG will pulverize JCC Jr. Very bad style match up for Jr who will get hard jab treatment for a couple of rounds and apocalyptic azz whopping afterwards.

P.S. I think that heavy and technical puncher like GGG should be favored against fighters that are there to be hit. His undoing will be tricky crafty fighters like Ward. Some people mentioned Mora and they are probably onto something.

    in shape Pirog and Martinez.

Quillin would be easy for GGG. Chavez Jr would be a war but Golovkin is stronger and has a better chin

A fit prime Martinez, is the best of those listed, is elusive fast and hits quite hard himself.

Chavez Jr. gets hit too easy, iron chin or not I think GGG probably stops him. Martinez wasn't fully sitting down on his shots vs Chavez Jr. like GGG would and also can Chavez continue to make 160? GGG is more skilled than Chavez Jr too so I think he could neutralise the size advantage with that skill. If GGG's punch resistance was suspect I'd give Chavez a chance as he has good power and has a good body shot, but nothing yet indicates that GGG has nothing but a good chin.

Geale is solid but not outstanding in any one area. He beat Sturm but so did Macklin in my opinion. Geale has a pressure come forward style which I think is a bad match-up against such a hard-hitting and precise opponent.

Martin Murray would possibly put up a better show than Geale as it can be argued he beat Martinez and Sturm, but ultimately he isn't outstanding in any one area either and it'd be hard to see him beat GGG by out-brawling or out-boxing him.

Quillin possibly has the most power of those listed and is undefeated and relatively unexposed so he might present the biggest challenge at present (with Martinez being injured/old). But I think I'd favour GGG against any middleweight at the present time

Quillin is average lets not overrate him... Macklin, Murray, Martinez, Chavez beat Quillin. Theres nobody beating GGG at middleweight or light middleweight, its about time someone dominated n cleared the division out!

Anyone who will take his power and give their own has a chance. Pirog, Quillin have the best chance. For every Ricardo lopez, there is a Rosendo Alvarez. For every Ali there is a Frazier. For every Golovkin, there is a tbc.
