Rigondeaux has proved he's legit not a hypejob by beating Donaire.

To a certain extent Golovkin has proved himself too, maybe he's not beaten any top pound for pound fighters but has beaten everyone he's ever faced convincingly, and beaten them worse than anyone else has ever done. It's quite obvious he's the goods and the reason he hasn't had big fights is because top fighters can see this and want none of that.

Broner meanwhile is cherry picking, looks terrible in some fights and was lucky to get a win over Quintero, De Leon and Paulie- he's will get found out when he fights someone with a pulse.

I think Rigo and GGG are both legit, P4P talents.

Broner's gotten handed too much hype and recognition too soon thanks to being picked by GBP as the next Mayweather; there's no argument whatsoever for him being a P4P fighter right now. It's an insult to Tim Bradley (among others) to be ranked behind that guy.

SO you are saying Broner is over hyped and GGG's not. GGG is the most hyped fghter I've never seen since I got into the boxing game. Just for the record Broner
or GGG is to hyped and untested at this point. This forum is being taken over by people that is lacking brain upstairs.

Broner is the biggest hype job. No one was pulling for Rigo to beat donaire. Arum wanted Donaire to knock that guy out, he has **** marketability and won't sell tickets. Broner or GGG on the other hand have a ton of people backing him. Broner's promoters are hyping him with advertising, hand picking opponents etc to make him look good and become the next Mayweather. GGG is highly marketable because he is a white guy with really good power.

How anyone picked Rigo over these two is amazing. I'm not saying that Broner or GGG are total hype jobs either. I'm saying that Rigo is definitely self made... If they wanted to build him up and "hype him" they wouldn't have had him fight Donaire that soon.

I think the TS was asking which fighters performances have most justified the hype surrounding them.

    That correct Beouche?

    Just sayin'

Oh I'll gladly admit that GGG's hyped. I'm one of the main people on here hyping him

However, it's not just armchair fans like me that know what he can do. Boxing people know, and there's a reason promoters are in no rush to put their fighters in with him. Like Rigo, I think he just needs to opportunity to prove he can live up to the expectations others (and myself) have put on him to be great.

Is it too much, too soon? Possibly. But I see greatness in Golovkin and have been on the bandwagon for years. I just want him to get an A-class opportunity ASAP so we don't have to wait until after his prime to see him against the best. :good

Broner's biggest problem is that the hype for him came too young and he's not mature enough to handle it. He's going to sabotage his own chance to reach his potential and the expectation GBP's put on him.

I think they are all legit and superb fighters. I was one of the biggest Rigo doubters and he proved me wrong against Donaire big time (lost all my v-cash that I bet on Donaire and the under). That said I think that Broner and Golo will be a bit harder to beat in the near future. The great problem in Rigo case is his chin and if he doesn't fight the perfect fight against the punchers he is in trouble.

Rigondeux is the biggest hype job compared to others on the list. I would like to see this boring fighter getting KO'ed.
