CARL FROCH has been ordered to defend his IBF world super-middleweight title against George Groves — or face being stripped.

Wonder how they will get round this one?

At this point Froch beats Groves for me

Eddie has been working his magic with the IBF again then!

I thnk this would be a tremendous fight but not sure what the Cobra will make of this manoeuvre. Just thinking back to the Ringside when him and Barry Hearn were on together and Froch was downplaying a Groves fight. Hearn Sr jumped straight in and put him right on the world of boxing economics!

Not sure i understand why this would work though. Well apart from the massive obvious of Pounds lol

But if Groves loses, its another british defeat in a title fight for a young fighter. Yes Froch wins but was do that do for him?

If Groves wins, Froch is pretty much done and that makes Groves the 'cashcow'.

So are they giving up on Froch?

Yes but Eddie will know that Froch isn't getting any younger and Groves will be easy to get to step aside if needs be until the time is right. You can see this is a fight Matchroom have had their eye on since Groves moved to them.

Also, other than Kessler the big names out there are dangerous propositions if they are really talking about the Wards and Golovkins. Eddie will see that if DeGale-Groves was ppv worthy then the pound signs are going to be flashing for Froch-Groves where he controls both sides.

End of October no chance. It'll be on Sky PPV and Haye-Fury is on Sept28. Don't be surprised if it doesn't come off.

Groves v DeGale should have been an eliminator with the winner fighter Froch. I would have loved to have see it happen that way.

Ibf rankings as of june 10
    1. Not rated
    2. Not rated
    3. Edwin rodriguez
    4. Thomas oosthuizen
    5. Lucien bute
    6. George groves
    7. James de gale

So groves de gale for the vacant seems more than plausible if fast eddie and fat mick can do business.
Would eddie need ppv for groves de gale 2?? If not then that would be my bet with the fight on normal sky building for a big ppv for the winner and froch.
