In that case why haven't the fights vs Abril, Gamboa etc been made?

Do you feel Ricky needs to be wasting his time with Beltran when really he could be fighting the best?

I am happy for you not to answer, these are somewhat leading questions, but I cannot understand how Ricky has still not fought another title-holder.

As I said in another thread, best of luck to you both. My attitude does not extend to wanting to see you guys lose, I simple cannot comprehend why it is taking so long to fight the very elite at this weight level.

 

They will never put Burns in with Gamboa!

 

People want to see Burns in with Vasquez, Broner, Gamboa NOT Beltran. But then again if you are getting schooled by Gonzalez who suspiciously quits after winning every single round, I would milk him as much as possible too!

i am happy to answer as i say names that have been mentioned to me i have never said no,a fight with Abril and Vasquez has been mentioned strongly and i have said id like those fights its the one i personally as a coach would like to see Ricky in.
I do not think for a minute Beltran is a waste of time though hes a very worthy challenger

Macky come on lad these threads are getting tedious now. Fair does you seem alright and I genuinely reckon Ant is one of the nicest lads in British Boxing and I wish him the very best. But lets be realistic here, if he was to fight Burns then he'd have to show something even better than what he shown against Rees. I'm not saying its unachievable at all a good game plan etc will give him a good shout, but Burns has proven himself at a better level than what Ant has (ableit not at the level he should have been doing for genuine World Title fights).

Billy doesnt half get some unwarranted stick on here. Listen he aint gonna come on here ridiculing the fights that Ricky's promoter has made. I dont think he has too much input into these fights as its pretty obvious how much he rates his lad, and wants him to have the career defining fights they BOTH crave.

Katsitas would stop him with ease Macky he's a monster even if he may be a little past it but it's about levels,Ricky schooled him with speed Anthony isn't quick nor does he punch hard enough to keep top level fights off,don't get me wrong he's proved himself a top domestic fighter now but that's all
