Burn's got schooled by Gonzalez and has ducked the big fighters yet again. He's a long way away from being the elite fight people assume he is.

  4. Oh my god it's back to burns

This man is more talked about than any on this forum

Hadn't realised that Mitchell was now with Sims - hopefully he"ll settle down now with one trainer and dedicate himself to the sport.

Other than Burns he's by far the best LW in Britain despite the depth of talent we have at the moment.

It's an opinion based on what iv'e seen from both fighters, especially from what i seen when they boxed each other. Nationality has nothing to do with it, and this 'well prepared Kev' does not exist.

Not one person on this forum (bar maybe Billy) has said Burns is elite. Most of the Burns fans are realistic. He's no paper champ, but he sure hasn't proved himself as elite world class yet eather. My view is he's a world class fighter, sitting between elite level, and paper champ level :deal

I at one stage thought Mitchell would go right to the top.I hope he still does. But against Burns he looked small and fragile, has the lad had too many fights? On the other point mentioned here has Burns ever said he is the best, seems like a sensible type who has made the best of what he has got.........hope he has made enough dosh to set himself up for life and looks after it.

its his lifestyle out the ring which messes him up i think! He looks very small and weak at lightweight imo

I have to say your a bit of a fickle boxing fan, in an ideal world you could be world champ and win every round of every fight but im afraid in reality that rarely happens,

Ricky fought an undefeated fighter who had a reach advantage with a high KO rate , the guy was a tricky custmomer and a very dangerous opponent but never had the fitness, strength or desire to beat Ricky even though he was ahead on points he basically knew if he carried on he would have been knocked out. Thats why he quit on his stool.

He won on points. Was basically a glorified sparring session.
