Price needs to hire a good trainer, hire a really good conditioning coach, such as the conditioning coach Marquez hired for the last fight with Pac. Marquez' conditioning coach is the world's top steroid expert and the world's best at cheating drug tests. He testified against his so-called friends to keep from going to prison. Check it out. There was a commentary about this on a major network, not to mention articles before the fight.

Horrible matchmaking by his deluded team, they were obviously more confident than Price himself, they should have known that another loss against Thompson possibly ends his career. Yes I feel sorry for him (a little bit).
This should be a lesson for those who say being tall is all you need to become a HW champ these days.

Price is a good man, and i have respect for him, and for Thompson also. They showed good heart, and a spectacular and thrilling fight, but Price simply lost his mind on the ring.....
He doesn't have stamina issues, he just gassed out because of an excessive pace of the fight following the Thompson amazing knockdown; he lost his mind, he tought to be able to blast him out and to prove the world he's worked hard, but he messed up, missing a TON of shots and doing stupid amateurish things like jumping on his foot, constantly, and not keeping the distance with the jab.
    His only problem is mental.
Anyway, it's nice to see so many peoples feels empaty for him.
Lennox Lewis, Chrys Byrd, Thompson himself, they all have been really gentle and respectful with him, and that's really nice.

He got thrown in at a level he was not ready for and may have never been ready for which is never good for a fighter.

I feel bad for him because he clearly believed what people were saying and that the first fight was a fluke shot. He should have never taken the immediate rematch if he did not know what went wrong in the first fight which he himself admitted to. How can you fix your flaws if you don't even know what you did wrong and the team around you won't even admit he did anything wrong in the first fight. He was put in a situation he was not prepared for.

His career needs to be reassessed, he needs to realise he is a domestic level heavyweight and if he want's to move beyond this point he has to work hard and have guys round him who actually know what he is doing wrong and why he got stopped and it wasn't just because he gassed. Sometimes fighters do gas but they can bide time and recover then comeback.

I doubt he made that much and even if he did it doesn't mean he'd take 2 million home after everyone took their cut. 45% tax, at least 10% managers fee, 10% promoters fee, trainers cut, sports manager/agent, cost of training camps. He'd be lucky to see 25% of the 2 million figure you have quoted.

I feel the same. His handlers were driven by greed, not by any concern for his career and mental well-being.

Price has to leave his promoter and trainer. Take a 12 month break and reorganize his entire professional environment. New trainer, new dietician, new conditioning trainer, new promoter. Forget about fighting as a headliner for a while and rebuild himself mentally. You can't teach him new tricks in the ring, he won't ever have a great jab. But he can have a tiny bit of self-confidence and ring IQ which is he lacking so much right now.

Well, it is hard to say... At least he tried and showed some bravery which wasnt even necessary at that point of his career by taking immediately rematch against Thompson.

Even I have gave some **** to Price I am actually proud of him, he just did not have 'it' but man tried but just fell short. Cant blame him. It is hard sport and few losses like this propably ends your dream to be something great.

IF he comes back from this it will be something special...

Do you think a guy like Tye Fields is at home crying because of his wasted career......No....he sits at the gyms banging out sparring partners waiting on a fight.

Do you think Fields would beat Price????

    Not a chance.

    How bout Seth Mitchell?

    Again.....not a chance.:good

I think you are right, this is a critical moment for Price and he needs a big change. Problem is maybe his team will try to convince him that it is all good as it is now.

I felt a lot worse for him the first time. He was stupid in my opinion to try to force an instant rematch!
