Fought Dawson last September and no new fight scheduled. Is he on the Mayweather calendar?

Yeah, he's throwing away the prime of his career.

He's been having some injury problems. He had shoulder surgery which is why his fight against Pavlik that was supposed to take place in February was cancelled. You guys post on a boxing forum but don't read up on the sport?

What exactly do you want him to do? He's been injured, just recently got cleared to return and is now looking for an opponent.

What do expect from a casual fan and someone that doesn't follow boxing quite often.

It'll be interesting to see how the shoulder affects him...many times, hooks are never the same even after the fighter says they're 100%. Ward's injury was to the shoulder capsule, and while most are familiar with how serious rotator cuff issues are, the shoulder capsule is crucial if Ward's going to continue performing at a P4P level. He may have restricted movement in the shoulder as a result, even with a successful surgery.

Hopefully he bounces back and can give us 3 good fights a year at his usual level, but I don't think that's the given that everyone assumes it is. I won't be sold until I see the shoulder in action.

So the shoulder surgery accounts for him fighting 2 times since May 2011? Come on, son.

After the Abraham fight, Ward suffered a bad cut while in training to fight Froch. That delayed that fight for several weeks. During his fight against Froch, Ward suffered a hand injury which delayed his return to the ring until September of 2012 against Dawson. He was set to return in February of 2013 and then suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery. So a bad cut, a hand injury, and a shoulder injury have been the main culprits of Ward's recent stretch of inactivity. Come on son, don't you read up on this stuff?

Ok, so he should just be able to manifest some unnamed injury every couple of weeks and therefore it's OK that he's on the shelf for so long? In my opinion, if that's the case, he should be removed from the P4P rankings because other fighters don't take year-long vacations when they get a cut, or hurt their hand.

You can remove him from any list you want. I doubt Ward cares. Boxing is what Ward does for a living. Why exactly would he make up injuries in order to stay out of the ring? If he's not healthy, then he's not going to fight. He didn't take a year long vacation from a cut or a hurt hand. You can think what you want, but you've already exposed that you don't know what you're talking about.

Precisely. Be Selective = "fight once in a blue moon". Problem for ward is that he's not enough of a loudmouth like Floyd is to build his name outside of the ring as well as inside.
