Price was another piece of British hype now on the scrap heap with Audley Harrison,Tim Henman, Michael Owen and a thousand others

At the moment Price is in the top 40 heavyweight rankings. So I guess technically he is finge world level.

Of course the Thompson fights raise doubts about him. Though its worth pointing out Thompson is a top 10 boxer.

The referee could have counted Thompson out after Price put him down. It wouldnt have been the first time we saw a hometown boxer getting a break.

If Price can learn from these two defeats he may well get into a good position to challenge at the higher level.

He is a dangerous opponent, though obviously vulnerable. I think he should continue. There interesting fights that can be made for him. Possibly Mike Perez or even Micheal Sprott.

The lack of any Sprott, Page or Remigijus Ziausys fights was a major part of Price's downfall. The first 3 years or so of the near 30 year old Price's development was utterly shocking. This fella was a seasoned am star near 30 yet was only fighting at the low British level on his 12th fight and about 3 years into his career. Look at Hughie Fury, he's 18 and almost at that stage already.

Actually Ivica Perkovic probably is on the level of a McDermott.

Tom won last night, the fight's up on YouTube.

His next fight will likely be for the Southern area title, then after that a fight with John McDermott for the English title.
