Funny because I voted with my memory too.....except all I cant help but remember were the Valuev and Klitschko fights.:think Pair that with Furys speed advantage over Valuev and his willingness to damned near tackle the smaller guy to hold him still, and I could really see Fury putting Haye on the backpedal for the entire 12 rds while Haye waits each rd for a singular shot to end it.:think
Neither Wlad nor Valuev are anywhere near as easy to hit and hurt as Tyson Fury. He cannot resist a good right hand & has a terrible, utterly abysmal glass jaw. That's a bad combination. He either fights as he usually does and gets KOed because he's so open or he adopts a slower, pragmatic style and loses like Valuev did. Haye won't take unnecessary risks but Fury must if he's to make Haye uncomfortable and win the fight.
Cunningham almost had him, and even at Cruiserweight, Cunningham was known as a powderpuff puncher..... Haye by brutal ko...
Fury is a sucker for that swinging right and that's exactly Haye's biggest weapon. If you end flat on your back from the Pajkic and USS ones, then surely the Haye ones would do even more damage. Every bit of this fight screams Haye by multiple knockdown TKO. Of course people have a point if they expect Haye to use the 3 punch a round, "run *****, run!" method. But even with that scenario he doesn't have to deal with a guy as huge and strong as Valuev and far less skilled and softer punching as Wlad. The right would probably still land, and when it does Fury has to pick himself of the floor again. I really would love to see Fury put another dent in Haye's 100-0, 100KO's record in fictional matchups (fan induced), but I can't see it happen in this case.
He was badly hurt, he went down heavily against Pajkic and Cunningham and was badly wobbled by Firtha. All three have a sub-30% KO record in common. When you have no defence whatsoever that's bad news; if you have a chin as bad as Fury does, you'd better be elusive.
Fury looked fine as soon as he got up, and it was a big punch, i don't go with this powder puff thing, you can see if a punch has power behind it. I agree Haye is favourite but i think some are under estimnating Fury whilst not putting enough empasis on Haye's lack of activity . I like them both but for the future of British Heavyweight boxing hope Tysion wins because you just know if Haye gets it he won't be seen in a ring again for aty least 12 months.
My point was that complete bum Pajkic and light hitting cruiserweight Steve Cunningham put Fury on his arse. Haye hits harder than the two combined and is also very accurate You mentioned Wlad and Valuev but they are not valid comparisons because Wlad is an exceptionally good hall of famer who no one can beat and Valuev is about thirty feet tall, more to the point Haye wobbled and beat him. Fury is extremely easy to hit and put down even against light hitting bums and cruiserweights, Haye hits extremely hard and accurate, the result is a foregone conclusion!
Boxing is never a foregone conclusion... ever. About Fury being knocked over, it doesn't really matter. He got up ok and will learn from those punches. The question is, can Fury learn in time before Haye comes at him with his favourite punch? This is either a Haye KO/TKO inside 6 rounds or a Fury decision. I want Haye to win because Fury gets on my nerves. But a Fury win is good for British boxing.
Haye has been inactive and he doesn't engage against the taller Heavyweights. He is going to be cautious and pot shot. All depends on the referee if he lets Fury maul and rough Haye up he has a chance.
But he was allowed to do that against Firtha, Pajkic & Cunningham. All of them found his glass jaw. He needs to sit back, pop out the occasional jab and cover up, hoping that Haye gambles.
It does matter when it happened because Thompson wouldn't do that to Haye today. I don't see how he still managed to take wlad's punches and chisora's shots, both harder punchers than what Fury has dealt with, yet you still say he is less durable than Fury. Still better than Fury's tho. Fury has a bunch of technical flaws and is not sound fundamentally at all. Fury relies on smothering people and using his size to win fights. Haye's combos>Fury's "boxing ability" I mean, the huge problem here that you are ignoring is that Cunningham didn't set up that overhand right at all. He just kind of threw it in there. If Haye does that, then that's all she wrote.
I actually want Fury to win but know he will not. Sure Fury gets up from knockdowns, but both times he was knocked down by guys who shouldn't have put him down in the first place. Haye KTFO granite chinned Chisora, Fury is going down 100%. Boxing is never a foregone conclusion, you're right...with the exception of this fight! Haye will land, and when he does, Fury will be asleep for a week.
