How about JMM knocking out Pac. Thats pretty impressive too isn't it? Having a few fights that are more impressive for Pac does not give him a pass on 5 losses! Now today which fighter is fighting the better opposition? Floyd vs Avarez or Pac vs rios? It seems obvious that one fighter is still on top fighting the best while the other is on a RAPID decline fighting not the best, to put it lightly. If we are to give Manny more credit for taking on better opponents in the past then we have to give floyd the same credit for taking on better in the present.

 

Floyd, though it's a shame they never fought.

Maybe down the road they'll fight Tyson-Lewis style for the fans to full fill our fantasies lol

Personally, I still rate Pacquiao's resume slightly ahead of Floyd's...but it is the closest it has ever been. Also, skillwise history looks back more fondly on slick defensive fighters than it does athletic superfreaks. It is Pac for me right now, but Floyd will likely surpass him very soon.

 

Geez...Oh, man! I would say Floyd. Pacquiao is 3rd behind Marquez.

 

Void has been running from Pac for years, therefore, I prefer Pac.............plus Pac is much more exciting, Void is extremely boring..........

Fighter of the decade trophy, is that what decides who is best? Which decade,not the current decade where Pac has to fight rios and hope to win or retire with his tail between his legs. A few years ago there was an argument to be made but Pac is OVER, OVER, and Floyd is still going strong.

 

The last two so-called fighters of the decade took 10 counts.

 

if pac loses and does retire, it just mean he has nothing left.

if you want to see an instance when someone retires with his tail between his legs, see what floyd did when WW was red hot and he pulled a fake retirement.

 

Any fighter on a given night can get caught with a clean shot. This did happen to pac, it also happened to RJJ and many others along the way. Floyed could run into a clean punch at some point too, that wouldnt make him less of a fighter and It doesnt make pac less of a fighter either. Even with this KO he is still coming back to take a dangerous fight. Floyd cant make that claim. After all when things got tough for Floyd he would go into retirement. Floyd bypassed alot of top oppostion each time he went into retirement when the WW division was red hot. Pac never retired from the sport, instead he fought on and fought hard. When the dust settles, I would rate Pac higher then floyd just for activity alone, not to mention the quality of opposition each has faced.

 

Of course Floyd can't make that claim. He's never lost a fight let alone gotten his ass KTFO. The closest he's ever come was his fight with JLC. Except unlike Pac, and waiting some years, Floyd fought JLC in an immediate rematch and put all doubts to rest.
