it's no brainer. Roach is a lot more proven. He actually did pretty good work with Khan and Jr who are fighters with serious limitations in one or another area. Pac is a top 35 ATG that was trained by Roach during most of his career. Roach is declining fast physically which is one of the reasons his fighters are not doing so good recently IMAO. Plus he was about what 5 times trainer of the year?? I don't get it how people vote for Sr to be honest.

  2. What has Floyd senior done besides his son?

    Oscar?

In terms of how I judge a trainer, Roach by quite a long ways.

In terms of who I think would be best for most fighters, I may and probably would go with Mayweather Senior.

What is Mayweather's rep based on other than his son? Oscar? Oscar did show serious improvement in his work with Sr and I remember Oscar constantly praising him. It would have been interesting to see Oscar vs Floyd with Sr in his corner. It may have made no difference but then again...

Just curious, what is the record of their fighters H2H?
    I know of only Pacquiao/Oscar and Pacquiao/Hatton.

Floyd Jr would make any trainer look good he has so much natural talent all you have to do to train him is, keep him fit and motivated.

Roach, may not have drilled the fundamentals as well but he was superior or at least as good tactically. And above all, he showed up and fighters trusted him to teach them. Sr. had bad relationships with some of his fighters.

Head to Head match up...Pac beat Hatton, I mean destroyed Hatton in 2 rounds. So, Roach 1 , Sr. 0.

Well if its Roach, he must be a fvcking slow learner, because in 4 attempts he hasn't fathomed out a way to beat Marquez convincingly.

Oh wait, he did teach his boy to go to sleep chin first on the canvas though.
