Pacquiao or Mayweather? when its all set and done who will be remembered as the best?

*******s opinions being as worthless as their hero aside, it is obvious that Mayweather is the better fighter. He has been in with punchers, brawlers, technicians, and made them look ordinary.

You have to take into consideratioin their mutual opponents. DeLaHoya 154 ( not 145 ) the same with Cotto. Plus the total humiliation of Marquez, as opposed to 4 attempts by Paci - OW and neither of the wins convincing culminating in the KTFO.

The reason why *******s can only be treated as idiots, is because they are too fvcking stupid to understand that great fighters adapt. But they would rather make the feeble excuse that JMM has their silly little hero's number.

When Mayweather had the controversial win against JLC, he immediately rematched him, adapted and left no room for doubt. Paci-OW can't do that, he is a one trick pony, which is why he will never be anywhere near as good as Mayweather.

 

More to do with Arum rather than Pac himself. FMJ also had a big part to play with the bout not taking place.
One of the main reasons for the fight not taking place:
- Why fight FMJ if you can make big money fights elsewhere. A loss against Marquez won't hurt as bad as a loss against FMJ (from Arum's perspective)

- From FMJ perspective, he's 'the man' of boxing right now, why not take advantage of that fact and make demands that are potentially unreasonable.

Boxing has a **** load of politics involved.

A boxer's journey mainly compromises of a fighter becoming established, taking big risks but once he's established and a belt holder taking advantage of it and making smart moves by ducking high risk low reward fighters.

Case in point: FMJ took quite the risk in fighting ODLH which catapulted him to the position of PPV king. He then became the guy who would make the demands and the one who fighters would move up/down in weight to fight i.e. Marquez.

Conclusion: The blame can never be put on the one party. FMJ has made smart moves that have resulted in certain fighters being ducked, yet his legacy will remain intact provided he keeps the 0.
Pac took more risks, one of those risks resulted in a devastating KO. His legacy has been damaged, arguable beyond repair.

 

I think a person can think Floyd is better without saying Pac sucks. We are making arguments of why we think Floyd is better, But Manny will be remembered as a great champ no doubt. However his career has a few blemishes that can not be overlooked. That does not mean he is not a great fighter, he is just not as GREAT as Mayweather.

Mayweather, mostly because of his SKILLS and Impact and Earning Power! The Bar is being set extremely high for the fighters/era after him!

Even people who hate Mayweather will miss him! Pacquiao too but I don't see Pacquiao have as big of an effect on the next generation of fighters like Mayweather is already having with a guy like Broner basically trying to use Mayweather's "BLUE PRINT"

Also Mayweather gets respect from those that count, Fellow Boxers, Trainers, even Promoters all praise Mayweather and speak Highly of Him, most of the hate on Mayweather comes from INTERNET BOXING FANS, the guys who stream everything, never go to the live events or actually buy PPV's but yet they complain about EVERYTHING

His career has been one of safety first though when it comes to legacy.
His legacy of retiring undefeated eventually will put him as one of the greatest of all time.

I prefer Manny because his fights are more exciting.
But, stats are stats.

Mayweather hate will subside once he retires.

It happens to all the greats.

 

Which one will go down as the greatest between the two remains to be seen as neither one is done fighting yet, but Mayweather is clearly the better fighter.
