I am quite aware of my responsibilities.....but didn't realise they stretched as far as the decline of British industry! Thanks Solaris with your approval I will start my plans to invade Poland.!:happy
...which created the sinkhole estates and Jeremy Kyle fodder, unless you were a venture capitalist in a prime location
You must be the most negative and argumentative poster on here Yes I know I'm not perfect myself but to discriminate about the working class is shady ground especially to hint at them have lower iq and not taking responsibilities for their social surroundings
In the early 70s, Newcastle Uni did Tests on IQ in Sport. Surprisingly Boxing came Top, Squash 2nd. Not a lot was heard of it, for some reason.
I was good looking enough for your mother. Not that her standards are high after all she shagged your father just the one time.

Tyson Fury is as thick as pig ****. Its not his fault like. His parents never took to him to school. They had him laying tarmac. Hes **** hot at the tarmac like.
There's a truth to what you say but you can't compare hand to eye co-ordination and balance to creative free thinking intelligence. Undoubtedly there is intelligence within boxing, it's a very mental orientated sport and someone like Hopkins shows supreme mind games intellect in his fights and the build up to them, it doesn't make him independently intelligent though in the normal sense. A common definition of intelligence is: Intelligence has been defined in many different ways including, but not limited to, logic, abstract thought, understanding, self-awareness, communication, learning, having emotional knowledge, retaining, planning, and problem solving. All those things would benefit a boxer with perhaps the exception of "abstract thought" and the sport has had some very intelligent operators over the years, Ali was clearly a deep thinker and Sugar Ray Leonard is a smart guy that would no doubt have been successful in whatever field he chose. Haye comes across as a smart, savvy, businessman type but if you tried to discuss a subject like current events or the nature vs nurture debate he may well stare at you blankly. IQ and intelligence are completely different anyway and there is absolutely no correlation to how successful you are versus what your IQ is. I have a builder/handyman that works for me doing odd jobs and he is a Mensa member with an IQ of something like 149. Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous groups are full of incredibly bright people that didn't quite know how to harness it in the right way as well. The only way you can judge someone's intelligence in the traditional sense that society uses to measure it is to put them through academia and there aren't too many boxers (Cleverly aside the little swat!) that bother getting a degree or furthering their education so this thread is null and void. The only debate to be had is who sounds the thickest and I would have to say Kevin Mitchell without doubt sounds absolutely ******ed. Like he's talking with a sock stuffed in his mouth all the time, but that doesn't mean he's thick!
