Shocked to read this, but excellent domestic dust up, which have been so good in the UK at SMW over the years.
SMWs in the UK seem so willing to face each other, when they are such tough match ups.

Good fight but it would have been nice to see Groves take a step or two up before taking on someone like Froch.

I like this fight better than a third Kessler fight but I would to see a Froch-Bika fight and Froch-Groves sometime next year.

Why on earth would you want to see Froch Vs Bika. Bika is absolutely shite and groves would destroy him, so **** knows what carl would do

if this fight goes down it's going to be epic. Groves has the better skill set, hits harder and is much faster. but Carl is one tough Mo Fo who is willing to get down and nasty.

i'd favour Froch to win late, but i sure wouldn't rule out a Groves win. he'll be hungry. a better style match up for Groves would be Ward, who doesn't hit hard and doesn't like to fight at range. Groves would keep Ward from getting close with that fast power jab to set up bigger shots and pretty much would **** Ward's world up. even if Ward was to get close, Groves has shown that he's very willing to trade which would spell disaster for Ward. Groves has him in every area. if he beats Froch, look for Ward to run for the hills.

 the reason that the Steiglitz fight didn't come off was due to them looking for a 3rd Abraham fight. if that fight was on offer, Groves would take it in a heart beat and dispatch of Robert with ease. :deal

There's no way Froch simply runs over Bika. Bika is limited but he's an extremely tough and experienced veteran who would give Froch a tough night. Froch would be the favorite but its an entertaining fight and not some sort of mismatch.

you're all getting completely carried away with groves just because he looked good in his last fight. I've watched every single one of his fights and watch him get hurt and scrape wins against poor fighters. he hasn't got the potential to beat someone like froch.. now or ever.

froch sparred groves not to long ago...knocked him down and dominated him. without head gear froch would have him in a body bag by round 4. it will be almost the same as bute. both have similar punch resistance and power

I'm a fan of both but Groves' chin is shakey and he's never fought anyone even approaching Carl's level. He's looked good against cans so far that's about it. Carl punches his lights out in the early-mid rounds unless Groves brings his running shoes with him.

Froch will vacate, we'll probably see Groves in for the vacant, maybe Groves-Degale 2 after that with the winner taking on Froch. Degale is next after Groves in the rankings isn't he? We could even get Degale-Groves 2 for the vacant belt.

I hope this fight does come off. Should be a good battle. A good barometer fight for both guys. I'd have to favor Froch, but not by leaps and bounds.

Similar to Alvarez-Mayweather, this is a case of a good young fighter biting off more than he can chew. Froch's going to teach Groves what world title level is the hard way.
