There's no way to know. All we do know is that they advertised the weight as a major selling point for the fight's credibility, Floyd lied on 24/7 about making it, then negotiated the change at the last second. Anything to protect the zero as usual.

 

The biggest thing for Marquez was the he put the extra weight on all worng, he was drinking **** & quail eggs & throwing rocks..
He's acknowledged this was a mistake himself & hired a S&C coach to put on muscle while reatining his speed and reflexes, he looked fat and sluggish in Floyd fight.
Would Floyd consider giving him a rematch if he starches Bradley like he did pac?

 

The weight wouldn't matter. Marquez through out his entire career was never better then Floyd.

 

Both are great elite counterpunchers; size, speed, and above all defense is the big difference here. A rematch now that Jmm has filled up close to 147 with less flab and more power would be much more interesting.

 

No it wouldn't. The difference and hand and foot speed, as well as length is still pretty wide. Marquez would lose another lopsided decision. Marquez himself said he has no interest in a rematch. Considering he landed less than 70 punches over 12 rounds in the first fight, it's easy to see why.

BUT since then Marquez has looked much better at the weight & not only beat the monster but knocked the f*cking monster that is Manny Pacquiao out, thats the same monster that had Floyd running sh*tless since he put that beating on De La Hoya & had him coming out with stupid sh*t like "my health is more important"
Now marquez is facing an undefeated 2 weight world champion in his prime & IF Marquez puts a beating on him he's way more deserving of a shot at Floyd than Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero & even Canelo.

It would not have made a differance. Regardless it was still unproffesional of floyd to do and i honestly feel he came out the loser because of it because he was always goin to beat marquez and he just got paid alot less to do it because of weight penalties
