theres plenty of heavyweights that are smaller than haye. Haye will smash the heavyweights up. He isnt as gifted? as who exactly? Davids got more than enough speed power and skill to collapse klitshcko, look at tyson. He was tiny, and he managed to **** the heavys up. Its nothing about size, davids got enough skill m8

Haye doesn't have enough of anything to trouble Klitschko, keep dreaming.

In fact, how about we save these "visions of grandeur" regarding Haye until he actually fights a true top 20 HW? That should help us gauge how far he may go before talking **** like you're doing here.

Haye has in fact gone 12 in a borefest a couple of years back. As regards his improvement since Fragomeni, he has come on a bit but that was only a couple of fights back.

Sam Peter took some all mighty right n a left from Big O and fought back so it may seem that he's oblivious to heavy leather... But that's where he makes the mistake and Pops Anderson warned him for that - he would have gone with the sort of sharp, heavy and fast shots Haye landed on Macca. Once, I had a totally opposite opinion but Haye is the Real Deal of the 2000s... Just that Haye talks like a kid and doesn't want to fight past his 31st birthday - Adam Booth has a lot of work and responsability in his hands.

    1) Because Roy Jones Jr. was one of the most athletic and gifted athletes in his era. So much so, that he was able to move up in weight class and be successful. For example, from super middleweight to light heavy and dominate the light heavyweight division- beat the best within the light heavies, and he managed to go up to heavyweight and defeat a heavyweight champion.
    2) Haye tries to mimic his style with having his hands low and counter.... Although he may be able to get away with it with some cruisers, he gets hit an awful too much and isn't good enough to pull of the Jones style to where he becomes almost unhittable. This presents a big danger if he intends on going up in weight and attempts to do this against someone like Wladimir or even Peter. Its a knock out waiting to happen.

Please, do not mention Tyson and Haye in the same sentence. Mike Tyson, in his prime, was a rare natural freak of nature for his size-In addition,Cus D'amato trained Mike to fight a style that suited him perfectly . Mike tyson as a heayweight was clearly faster than Haye as a cruiserweight, in addition to being better in every department. Please do not compare Haye to Tyson.
Of course there are heavyweights that are smaller guys... Look at Iggy. We saw how his fight went against Wladimir. How about Calvin Brock, another Wladimir victim... lets not forget to mention Chris Byrd.

Haye is a ''rare natural freak of nature'' as well. Different to Tyson obviously but I think you're gonna be surprised by Haye's success in the heavyweight division.

And please do not mention Byrd and Haye in the same sentence. Byrd was a tremendous boxer but lacked any real heavyweight power. Haye could knock down walls with his fists.................you'll see.

I believe these two may fight sometime. Because Peter will lose to vitali (if they fight) and he will lose to other top contenders and David haye will have to fight Peter to get a title shot. Peter will become the guy that is the step up to the top contenders. Although Peter could win another title shot I just donot see him beating anyone with boxing ability and any decent power Unless God directly intervenes in Sam Peters life I donot see him winning much

After watching the Fragomeni fight again, it's fairly obvious Haye needs to work on his defence above everything else. Fragomeni was hitting him at will. Imagine what Wlad would do to him? I like Haye a lot as a person and as a boxer but there are many of his followers setting him up for a big fall.

He was getting tagged all night long and if Maccarinelli had a better defence + chin it would have been the same again. His amazing defence is a myth he's there to be hit.

    This explains everything.

Sam Peter has no footwork and no handspeed. I've never seen him throw a combination. He plods forward and load up, one punch at a time. The only reason he's got a title is because the heavyweight division is ****. Look at the other recent title holders; Shannon Briggs, Ruslan Chagaev, Oleg Maskaev, Sultan Ibragimov, Sergei Lyakovic. ALL of these guys are ****!

Can you imagine what the heavyweight's from 10 years ago would do to the current crop? Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Michael Moorer, Ike Ibeabuchi, Ray Mercer would DESTROY Sam Peter in under 6 rounds. Normally Sam Peter would not even make the top 10 in the Heavyweight division, but due to the talent drought he's considered 2nd best.

David Haye isn't a proper Heavyweight yet and could do with a few warm-up fights. I'd like to see his chin test at H/w before making any predictions. But I cant see someone as quick and elusive as Haye being hit very often against Sam Peter. Your not going to beat Haye without a jab and no footwork.

I've held the same opinion on Haye long before he fought Macca. Can you seriously see Klitscho or Peter having as much trouble with the Fragomenis of this world. Haye has only got a chance if he is killing himself to make cruiser and is significantly stronger at the new weight.

  15. This title of this thread is ridiculous Peter would knock Haye cold with the 1st flush punch he landed, Haye would end up hurt bad..:verysad
