I'm starting to think Groves / Booth may have got their timing spot on!!!

Only a week or so ago I was thinking this was too soon for Groves.

I am now starting to thing the timing may be right.

Groves has looked hugely improved in his last few outings against granted limited oposition.

IMO both fighters faced the same version of Glen Johnson though people who refer to Carls split decision as scraping by are ******ed as the fight was not close.

Groves appears to be peaking, his style is as compact and as balanced as you could hope and his timing is second to none in British Boxing.

Make no mistakes this is going to be a tough fight for both.

To win Groves is going to have to earn Froch's respect early.

He is going to have to land hard.

Groves needs to pump the jab to the head and body early and follow with tight hooks without exposing himself.

Clearly Booth will look to use footwork to outsmart Carl though I think he really needs to dig shots in as well. I can't see him pot shotting on the move successfully against Carl for 12 rounds.

At certain points he is going to have to plant and get off before Carl.

Timing could be right for the passing of the Baton.

I can't wait and will be there for sure.

Torn on who to support, will just enjoy a great fight!!!

100% agree, strange how my opinion changed while watching the interview earlier today. I think Groves might just do this.

I think people who think groves will outbox froch might want to think again, froch has underrated boxing skills and stupidly long arms, I cant wait this fight I genuinely don't have a clue how its going to go

Think of Kenny Anderson vs George Groves but this time George doesnt make it out of the round and gets stopped.

Thats how this fight is going to go.

I think Groves will do it on points.

Again though he must land to keep Froch honest early.

Key for Groves to win the first few rounds and establish the jab.

Needs to pick his moments in the rounds to plant his feet and throw.

    Footwork needs to be excellent.

Good fight but one I think Froch wins.

Groves maybe a bit quicker, younger, better footwork, dont think hungrier / fitter / stronger.

I dont think Groves hurts Froch but Froch can hurt Groves, Groves wil lhave to fight very clever for the whole 12 rounds without Froch catching up with him.

With Groves' timing he can hurt froch, make no mistake.

Groves easily hits as hard as Kessler.

Maybe but Froch eats them for fun and comes back with his own big ones, can Groves evade them for 12 rounds?

I think if Groves tries to evade for 12 rounds he will lose.

I think he needs to pick his moments to plant and land.

Pot shotting for 12 won't work. Carl will catch him.

Froch can be hurt and I would invest in the body!

Think Groves is supremely confident and is actually quite a likeable personality, if he pulls this off this would be huge for him! It's perfect timing as well.

I also like him and agree he is confident, is he as confident as Froch? based on what Froch has achieved his confidence is sky high..

    Perfect timing from groves

Massive credit if he wins (very possible)

And if he looses well and doesn't get outclassed he will still get big credit for facing one of the top fighters in the sport, never mind the experience he will gain!
