lol at Zab saying the foul wasnt intentional. He stared at Mayweather's crotch for a good 2 seconds before hitting his cup with an uppercut.

If boxing were only 4 rounds Judah may have been an all time great.

Zab won round 2 clearly and 12 is a tossup. How anyone could score round 3 for him is beyond me.

Judah won rounds 1, 2, 4 and 12. The first round was close, and nothing much happened, but Judah seemed more active. If I remember right, you could also make a case that Judah won round 3, although Mayweather probably deserved it, and I think most give it to Mayweather. In round 12, Mayweather knew he had won, so just indulged in some rare showboating, and Judah probably won it via activity alone. Judah also deserves an extra point for the knockdown.

Judah didn't dominate for 5 straight rounds at any point in the fight. Even if you're kind to him and give him round 3, you can't make a case that he won round 5. The best you can say is that Judah was very competitive and fighting evenly with a prime Mayweather for 4 straight rounds. That's impressive enough. I like watching the fight, because it's rare to see two prime fighters with that kind of speed and boxing ability fighting each other. There are some nice moments of countering, rolling away from shots, and general manoeuvring as they tried to outbox one another.

In the early rounds, Judah was able to catch Mayweather coming in with punches to the head, and he was also able to hit him with clean body shots. Even now, against a past prime Mayweather, fighters struggle to do that to him.

The only other guy I've seen who was able to outbox Mayweather for a full round was Cotto in round 6, but that version of Mayweather wasn't as young and quick as the one Judah fought. I think Judah's speed, southpaw stance and decision to box rather than fight helped him in those early rounds -- Mayweather is a defensive expert who thrives on guys coming to him and opening themselves up with their mistakes. Not many fighters try to fight defensively against Mayweather and take him into a different territory, but that's because most fighters don't have the speed or skill to pull it off. Even if you have that, Mayweather is usually able to think in the midst of a fight and change things up, which is part of what makes him so good. He also had far better conditioning than Judah. He's a great fighter, which is why I think only another great fighter can beat him. You need a Leonard, a Hearns or a Whitaker, guys like that. I don't see Canelo winning, even considering the age and weight difference.

Agree once a counter puncher figures you out thats all she wrote. Never rematch a counter puncher cause they've figured out the angles already.

    DAMN I sound like Dwyer....

Mayweather gives away the first four rounds to anyone bold enough and stupid enough to take them (and then believe they should fight "intelligently" to protect their "lead" (lol)).

When Mayweather turned it on (in the typical rounds that he does, 5-12), it got ugly for Zab.

He probably still can't figure out when the turning point occurred. A mystical and sublime transition, if you really believe he was winning (ever).

Zab wouldn't have won even with the knockdown (I like the word touchdown; it not like Floyd was dropped to the canvas with a punch or anything).

Floyd undressed him from the 5th round on.
