It's what he does, mate. The fact that Liston was the man in prison and took on multiple cops at a time means nothing to "Two Ton Testicles Tommo" , though.

Fair enough. Speaking of intimidation, remember the look on Margarito's face in that interview before the Cotto rematch? I know Cotto won the fight but he looked distinctly worried when Margharito evil eyed him! Can't say I blamed him, either.

Azumah Nelson - how terrifying it must have been to go in against him. He acted like an elder statesman outside the ring, all smiles and class, but once the bell was chasing you with that strange stance he sometimes had. A concussive puncher with either hand - I would have avoided him like the plague - like McGuigan did, wisely.

I always thought Matthew Saad Muhammad was an intimidating sob.

He was, You knew that you would have to knock him down and drive a stake into his heart to keep him down for the 10 count. The man's mental toughness is legendary.

Oscar De La Hoya. A polite, nice looking, mamas boy with a keen interest in woman clothing.

Imagine the fear the tough macho guys like Mayorgo and Vargas must have felt at the prospect of losing to him. Intimidation comes in many forms.
