Is Lucian Bute's chin pure china, or is it just below average? Other than the Froch fight, I don't think he's ever been that badly hurt.
Are you joking? He took a **** load of flush power shots off Froch before the accumulation of them all got too much for him. You need to learn what a weak chin is IMO.
The problem with that argument is with the criteria you're judging his chin on. Froch basically hurt Bute and put him on the defensive every time he landed with a clean power shot. You can say to his credit that Bute took a decent bit before Froch finished him, but when you're forced to cover up repeatedly as Bute did when getting caught clean, I tend to think his chin isn't very good regardless of whether the punches put Bute down or not. I would, however, say that his chin is simply below average and not pure china. Froch is a hard puncher and Andrade was hardly a soft one himself.
He can't handle intense pressure. He's unlikely to be fûcked up off one punch ala Khan, but he can't easily cope with pressure fighters continually throwing and backing him up. More of a defect in ability than necessary a weak chin.
