I love Roy but I wish I was making this up. Number of sources are reporting.

Rampage is just washed up now, as is Roy Jones.

Id prefer it to be an MMA match. Jones loses and nothing is said about the whole MMA vs Boxing thing. Jones loses in a boxing match, and MMA fans are going to talk a lot of ****.

Rampage would lose badly in a boxing match. RJJ might just take it easy on Rampage though.

Anderson Silva is going to be jealous. Will be an interesting match up, I like Rampage, he is more of a slugger, so Jones UD or Rampage KO.

This fight is so ridiculous that I kinda hope Roy gets put to sleep again. Just so he can learn a final lesson and keep his ass out of the ring from now on.

Cant see this happening, Rampage just signed to Bellator which involves him having MMA fights aswel as appearing in some pro wrestling, TNA I think.

Only way I see this happening is if Jones decides to take him on in an MMA match which would be a bad move for Roy.

Easy KO win for Jones in a boxing match though.

This is awful. Jones will beat Rampage and think he still has it. He will then spend another 5 years destroying his body and legacy.

In a boxing match it would depend on how much Jones wanted to clown him. I think we'd all agree Rampage has the power to hurt him and the chin to take one to give one. It would be interesting to see what weight he came in at as we all know boxing is more about stamina than power. I honestly think the fight could generate interest, I'm curious. The only reason it would be made out to be a farce is cause so many people seem genuinely ANGRY at RJJ for not retiring. He can still compete on world level.

Did you hear Dana White's comments about this potential boxing match? He said Viacom is going to have to pay Roy Jones Jr a lot of money and he isn't sure they are willing to do that.

Do you think Dana is upset that Silva lost? Had he won a mega fight between Silva and Roy Jones could have happened, and maybe Dana could have demanded a part of the profit to let Anderson fight in it. But now Silva's stock has gone down and that fight isn't as marketable coming off a Silva loss.

Now Dana White is like trying to say Roy Jones wants all this money and Viacom can't pay it. So he don't think it will happen. Does he not want it to happen? I think Rampage vs Roy Jones in boxing is a very marketable fight, and it's something that is needed. Because we've seen boxers try MMA (James Toney) but we really haven't seen a mega fight of an MMA fighter fighting a boxer in boxer.

I think this is something that is long overdue. Dana also said that Rampage struggled over here (in the UFC). But a few years ago Rampage defeated Machida by decision, although it was very close and controversial. Don't you think Dana is worried about this fight since it is with another MMA promotion and could be big?

"It's just weird, I don't believe it" - Dana White

Both are past it but Rampages boxing is so one dimensional in MMA let alone boxing that you would still expect Jones to outbox him. A KO would be a better statement but he is 44 years old. His own body is probably giving him a tougher fight than any opponent.
