Giving you the benefit of the doubt regarding your intelligence. I would ask you to read your own post.

The fact that both Jones and Toney have tested positive for steroid use is all the proof necessary to discredit their respective resume's.

I honestly dont think you are stupid enough to demand a criminal trial investigation on this matter. Anyone who is not a fanboy of a positive tested fighter can accept that if said athlete has been caught at any one time, there is no reason to doubt that they have been a persistent user.

Speculation is what the Mayweather camp pulled on Paci -OW. He is clean up until this point, as he hasn't tested positive, as are all other fighters so far undetected. Once the positive test occurs, it has gone past speculation.

Aside from that anyway, I don't see how beating a guy that was never to fight at 168 again because he was killing himself to make the weight, and beating Sugar Boy Malinga maks Jones anything like a great 168 fighter.

Even the most ******ed Calzaghe hater surely couldn't wear their idiocy as a kind of medal and seriously claim Jones 168 resume compares to Calzaghe's?

What anablolic steriod did Jones test positive for?

Again, I can't discredit a fighter's performance when there is no proof that they were roided.. Even if they are more than likely. But it is still speculation unless we have a positive test directly before or after the fight. How do we know that the postive test didn't scare the **** out of Jones and he never roided again? It is certainly possible as he passed tests and was never caught again.

I agree, Pacquiao roiding is pure speculation. But once a positive test occurs, that doesn't necessarily mean that they were always roiders or will be from then on out. It would be speculation, especially if they are passing tests.

I would need more cold hard evidence before I go wiping away accomplishments..

And even then it would seem harsh to me, knowing the huge populairty of PEDs in boxing over the past several decades.. Knowing we rate fighters that did the same thing, but were just never caught.

I think it's reasonable to look at it in terms of levels of suspicion, rather than just what is proven by positive tests or confessions. It is rare that someone gets popped the first time they take something; usually they get careless, overdo it, or they get caught up in a wider investigation that traces back to them. It is possible that Jones and Toney only used PEDs for the fights in which they tested positive, but highly unlikely based on what we know about doping.

It is therefore not unreasonable that Jones' and Toney's performances throughout their career should attract a higher level of suspicion than someone like Calzaghe, for whom you can only put together a mild circumstantial case for him doping. For any fight you pick for Jones and Toney, they are more likely to have been doping than someone with a clean record. We don't know how many fights they cheated in, but we know that it is at least the fights they were caught, and on the balance of probability many more.

I don't know if failing a drugs test automatically "discredits" any other performances, but it certainly raises greater than normal suspicion over every other fight in their career. I'm also more inclined to give people the benefit of the doubt for other fights when they are open and honest over getting busted. Using Dwain Chambers as an example, he gave a plausible explanation of when, where and how he started doping, and I'm happy to treat his pre- and post- doping performances as "clean". The ridiculous explanations from Jones, Toney, Holyfield, Mosley etc do more to raise suspicion than they do to dispel it.

So, we're all agreed then, that Joe's the greatest, but only on accomplishments only? Ha!
