Andre Dirrell - very underrated

Not forgetting that he legitimately knocked Abraham down aswell.

But his mental state is that of a child. He is a waste of talent

 

If anything he's overrated.

He hasn't proved anything; I mean what is his best win? A DQ win over Abraham?

He has nothing of any real note on his resume yet people put him up there with Ward based on what he could have or might have been. He doesn't deserve to be in that sort of conversation; he's not done or shown anything to be anywhere near that bracket.

 

i think he is a great fighter.....but more of a waste of talent

 

and yeah i think he had the skills to beat anyone at 168

 

If you are going to talk about what ifs then why only focus on Dirrels positives?, why not include his lack of heart or desire because they are far more instrumental in deciding how far he could have gone. The reality is he would lose to most of the top fighters because he has no true desire to win and crumbles under pressure. All people talk about is a robbery vs Froch and a masterclass vs AA, the reality is that was Froch at his worst and in the AA fight the tide had started to turn in the later rounds. Why not talk about the way Dirrel lost the fight himself due to his antics vs Froch? or how Dirrell ducked Ward ect ect

 

Lack of heart?? yo he is a boxer....i wonder i you will ever have the guts to be in the ring. he beat froch...he beat AA...and he didint fought ward because theu are really close friends.....i understand that and i know that for a fact...because i have been boxing since im 15 years old and i will never fight my brother in a real fight

 

Lots of jobs need heart or guts. He lost to Froch due to his negative style of running away and falling over, he then faked an injury vs AA. An in jury so bad it caused damage to the brain and meant he could not box anymore, cept he did. If you are going to talk about Dirrell you HAVE to talk about the negatives aswell as the positives otherwise you just look Bias or Stupid, Same for every boxer.

 

But if you do accept the bad points then you need to accept they havent magically vanished, so to try imagine future match ups they need to be considered as well. To me Dirrell had exceptional abilities but also a very poor mental attitude so any future fight would be determined by his own ability to control that mental attitude, if he could then he had potential to win vs many top fighters, if he could not then he had potential to lose vs may not so top fighters.

 

But he has lost, he lost to Froch, he lost to Ward before the fight was even made, and has lost every single day since his comeback by not signing a fight.
