Yea, Gatti's gameplan for Floyd sadly, was pretty bad. And even if there was a good one, Gatti was just lost against Floyd's superior speed, and technique... Ugh I hated my boxing life that night...

Some other bad gameplans-

Abraham vs Froch - Who the **** would've truely believed that fight would go down the way it did? Honestly.

Lara vs Molina - Lara seemed content to have a low output of one at a time counter punches (for the most part), while allowing the end of many rounds to be stolen from him.

Trinidad vs Hopkins - Pretty much had 0 answers for anything Hopkins did. Tito looked completely one dimensional, as Hopkins picked him apart.

 

Perhaps why the money went on Leonard and the odds dropped from 4-1 to 5-2. A couple posters here saw the sparring sessions and said Marvin was pretty poor. He was close to 35 and had been through so many wars. I don't buy the 'found' birth certificate...

 

Another "not that he would have won anyway" disaster: Frank Bruno vs. Mike Tyson II.

The guy was scared to death and his game plan was to hold on for dear live, hugging Tyson like an octopus.

Beyond that, someone had the brilliant idea that he should turn southpaw as a tactic.

First time they ended up with a clinch.

Second time, he turns and *bang* Tyson knocks him out. And Bruno looked like a first-day amateur in the southpaw stance, so what he or his camp were thinking is beyond me.

 

Phonaire v Rigo. Phonaire had one plan, land a left hook. He looked amateurish following Rigo around like that. No foot work. No combinations. Nothing.

 

Easier said than done my friend...In that final round Julio would have been ALL OVER HIM giving him no space what so ever and would have forced Taylor to slug it out with him.
