We need to enforce federal immigration laws and audit social security numbers to get scabs like you out of our country..:hi:
Not so many weights or catch weights. One belt for each division. Turn the heavyweight division into the superheavy division and Cruiserweight to heavyweight.
Same day weigh ins....get rid of all that swelling up after the weigh in.. too many cowards fighting 1 or 2 divisions below where they should be.
Yes, but those other sports do not have federal commissions running them. They are run by owners' and players' associations. If you have federal commissions, then the politicians will soon be handing over direction and control to the private corporations that fund their election campaigns, like they do with everything else. What you need is a boxers' union or association, like other sports have, to make sure that the athletes' interests are represented fairly and above board, profits are accounted for, pensions, etc.
Yeah your right farmy. Lets let the Feds take over boxing because there so honest and not corrupt:roll:. Our corrupt government makes boxing look clean. Don't you know that rich people like Don King is the ones running our government?? Some of our smart people in government would like to ban boxing. Look what they are doing to the NFL. Pretty soon they will be playing flag football.
I do have an idea .... a force to fight ... if public demands it, Say you get the new year poll for what people like to see in the mayor ppv systems the next year, the winning options are already prepaid by the voters so the hard base budget is secured, and the two "winners" should be forced to fight with 50/50 split whatever the fight is for .... otherwise they are stripped form their belts (if the fight is at the same weight class) or the ring/p4p spots if the fight is between different divisions ... in this way we would see PAC-FLoyd long time ago, and possibly Wlad-Vitaly would have to fight eachother.
The sport is just fine. Great talents on to rise and even Floyd's fighting a live opponent! Only fights matter in the end.
the thing is, government already is involved in boxing with state commissions sanctioning fights and getting paid for it. at least with federal control for championship fights only, rules would be uniform in all states. what needs to be fixed is the rankings, who's moving up or down and who should fight the championship. too many times fighters have find ways to duck their mandatories. my solution. boxing need a 5-7 panel of judges with a 3 year term elected by BWWA (member for at least 10 years) to rank each fighters every month. these panel of judges also reviews/gives/cancel accreditations to judges and referees. these elected panel of judges appoints the referee and judges for each championship fights in any place in the world for their belt. champ needs to fight the highest ranked fighter available in 3-6 months. if he's injured/unavailable, champ will be stripped and will be the mandatory when he's able to return. in these championship fights, this commission gets a % from the guaranteed purse and a cut from the promoters profit to pay for itself.
Nope. Robberies have really turned me off of it. I rarely watch boxing these days outside the huge ass fights.
Every sport has a loop hole that's being exploited. At the end of the day, it's all about the money and the benefit of another person's wallet. Boxing is broken on soo many levels, I always hear Teddy blast boxing over national television (espn) and still nothing has changed. You see the worst of the worst boxing judges and it seems like everyone is promoter now days.
