He was also far more active. I scored it for Trout but expected a Texas robbery the same day it was announced in Texas, don't worry. Still, he got the nod and many people thought it was close.

Now you see why his team didn't want the Trout fight.

Stick a jab in Canelo's face and he's lost as lil red riding hood...no pun intended.

there is already a poll about that fight , you should see the results...
by the way missing over 80 % of punches and making canelo look like withaker doesnt win fights... and not specially when your main weapon is a weak pitty jab and in top of that you do the chicken dance...:nono

By the time Canelo had faced Lara, Cotto and Martinez Floyd would be in his retirement home.

Floyd doesn't like being at a disadvantage more time passing would allow Canelo to improve as a fighter and better chances at defeating Floyd. Just finished beating a top 3 154lber who many thought beat Cotto more impressively than Floyd did. And Canelo looked impressive in making Trout miss many of his shots. This newfound defense may make Floyd the aggressor at times and attack Canelo's body. Floyd hasn't fought a fighter with a decent defense and Canelo in the Trout fight defense was the key and something Trout wasn't expecting.

I'll ask for it again...show me a video that showcases Trout's good work...you can't. Trout won rounds on activity alone, it was Canelos lack of work that made the fight so close. The judges were way off, the KD made the difference in this very close fight. Canelo looked super comfortable in there even showboated a bit, only problem I saw was his lack of activity. Trout was frusterated and pulled a lil dance Khan would be proud of.

I still think May will be too quick. I see a comfortable UD for May. It would have been better for Canelo to wait, problem is that May is on his way out. This fight had to happen now.

trout didn't win a damn thing.

I think trout is a great fighter, but blind haters insist on Trout winning that fight.

Trout was hitting air, and was knocked down.

If anyone believes Trout won I challenge you to find me one GIF of just ONE good punch Trout landed on Canelo....JUST ONE.

I'm not sure what is hard to understand about a 23 year old guy taking a fight that will earn him 15 million bucks or more (probably more). Half an hours work or so, ultimately the result doesn't matter, stick that on top of other earnings and his family and children and their children are all assured of living the dream in Mexico forever.

I expect half of the people on the forum would have a go against Floyd for 15m. Why not Canelo? Plus there's the small fact he might think he has a good chance of winning.

The problem with fans is they think like fans. It's a business and the fight is a no brainer beyond a certain point of preperation.

No. In a year's time Canelo's frame won't fit into 154 anymore. He is a growing young man, and will only last at this weight for maybe another fight.

Floyd wouldn't fight Canelo if he moved to 160, because then it would be obvious he is avoiding Sergio.

Exactly. My buds make 1500$ a fight, and would fight May for 100 grand, let alone 15 mil. Hell, for 15 mil I'd be there in a heartbeat.

No, he wouldn't fight him at 160 because he's a natural 147 FFS. He doesn't really even need to cut weight to get there and he's expected to get in the ring with guys who walk around easily 30-40lbs heavier than him? Get the **** outta here.
