So what? They're different people, with different histories, so there is nothing unfair about 'double standards' here.

Garcia with his past history of really enjoying and hamming up the promotional aspect, taking his dad along for the ride and having fun with it - for him to drop out altogether it would seem rightly indicative of something being amiss with him. For Lucas, who never set any such expectations before of that much participation, this is par for the course.

Anyone saying Garcia would be treated differently, STFU, really - what is your point? Of course he would, as he up to now has set up different expectations through his behavior and overall attitude toward self-promotion.

Too many days lost with Garcia's "decision" to make the fight happen.

Now it's time for hard trainning!!

I agree but this will be a big chance for Lucas to market himself. I wouldn't do them all but I would do some of them.

He'll have his audience in September, regardless... it's a Mayweather card.

All he needs to do is get ready and put on a spectacular show, and people will be sold on him.:smoke

I don't see the Machine ever being the presser type, and nobody who is already his fan expects him to be.

I'm a fan of both fighters and I'm disappointed. If Lucas has a problem with speaking English, they could have agreed to do everything in Spanish and have a translator present.

This sucks because I wanted to hear Angel Garcia's loud mouth. I don't care what language he speaks in, and I don't even care about understanding what he says: I just wanted to watch the drama. The guy's a whacko!

He's taking it so serious that he would cancel tours to help promote the fight he's training too hard for?

Maybe he was unhappy with the purse split and decided to be "all business." And not do any one any favors.

well if he's training in Argentina he doesn't want to be going back and forth all the time. that will mess his schedule up. it's the smart thing to do.

or, maybe there was only supposed to be 1 or 2 conferences that he was on board with but they increased them, so thinks they're doing this on purpose to mess him up and give Danny a better chance? so he's probably thought, **** them, i won't do any of them, i'll just concentrate on training and getting ready.

it's not because he's "shook" or anything. that's silly.
and i don't think Angel trying to rile Danny's opponents came in to it either. Lucas wouldn't understand him anyway. it'd be pointless.

    yep.

i think they're looking at giving Danny a better chance at victory by getting Lucas to travel back and forth.

    didn't work though.

    Danny is in trouble.

yeah, but they promoted the fight with plenty of time for training. not 5 weeks before.

Lucas is in Argentina, so it's going to stall his camp and mess it up. he doesn't need that so close to the fight.

He's on the other side of the globe and probably doesn't want to waste time on travelling.
