Hi, just after a bit of advice with buying new gloves. I've just gone through a pair of Adidas "Amir Khan" gloves, which were £40 (I'm in the U.K) Didn't reckon much to them to be honest. I've been boxing for just over a year and train 4-5 times a week. Got my first fight in October. The only ones that I can try on in a shop are the crappy Lonsdale ones from sports direct, so think i'll need to get some mail order. Any one got any ideas? Looking to spend around £60, 14-16oz's, a few people have recommended twins?

    Thanks.

If you've been boxing for a year and know that your going to be doing so for the foreseeable years I'd invest in a pair (or two) of Winning gloves. Where gloves like Everlast and Reyes have only lasted me 6 months my Winninh gloves have been going strong for over a year now. I've read some people even use them for 5 years with regular training! This is cheaper in the long run.

That being said, I do have a mate with Twins and he's had them for two years or so.

Can’t go wrong with twins for the price or fairtex for a few £££ more
just try and air them out after use if you can

Check out lemarr gloves , mine were great. Always fancied a pair of fighting sports, similar to winning but cheaper and fantastic gloves in their own right

If you're interested in Winning, looks like there is someone churning them out on ebay uk at the moment.

A pal of mine ordered a headguard from them last week and all looks genuine (compared to other gear bought direct from the US store a year or so ago)

Went with the twins ones, a lad at trainings got some 12ozs and they seem ok, so took the plunge. Paid £50 so not bad.......hopefully! :think
