    Yeah five more fights is a long ways down the road. Especially when next up is Alvarez.

    After Alvarez its easy pickings, bar Pacquiao but that will never happen. Khan, Lucas, Garcia etc thats all thats left after Canelo

    When Larry Holmes was 48-0, he fought Michael Spinks and got outboxed. 48-1.

    When Roy Jones was 48-0, he fought Montell Griffin, was winning, but then got himself disqualified. 48-1.

    Floyd will lose the 6th fight of his Showtime deal. He'll be 48-0 going into the fight, and the Marciano curse will set in for him too. 48-1.

    Too hard to say, a lot can happen in that time. He has a tough fighter in Canelo to overcome first.

    If he finishes without losing in the showtime contract he will likely go for 50-0 and then retire.

    I think as a mayweather fan, he loses to canelo. I have said from the beginning, I don`t like this fight. Canelo is too big for him. !5 to 20 lbs heavier is a big deal.

    I would agree if Alvarez had the skill to go with the weight but he will be completely outclassed

    You might be right.

    But more likely, you're of that opinion because you can't see the next big game-changer. Sometimes they come out of nowhere.



    Pac came almost out of nowhere to beat Barrera.

    Tyson wasn't on the radar just prior to Holmes-Spinks.

    When Pavlik defended successfully against Lockett, he looked like the future of the MW division for some time to come. Sergio was nowhere in sight.

    Two years later, Sergio had dethroned Pav, brutally KOd Williams, and hasn't looked back.


    Two years is a long time in boxing, especially if you thirty six and a half years old.
