Paul Williams. Refused to control the distance with his reach. Trainers dream of having a 6 ft 2 welter with a reach longer than the Klitschko's who can also make weight comfortably. Instead he was nothing more than an inside fighter with an insane work rate.
Both Klitscho brothers. In the beginning, I was a huge fan and rooting for them to shine in the HW division. Then, I realized that all they really have as a fighting advantage is their size.
Deontay Wilder, for fighting old, shot, and/or retired opponents after 5 years as a pro. Kelly Pavlik, by ruining himself with booze. Oleg Platov, who had potential but committed career suicide by signing with Don King who just keeps him inactive.
Khan for me, his style is exciting as **** he seems to want to take on all comers and his ****y but not to much of a dick about himself..... But that chin.... God damn i honestly dont know how he did not get knocked out in the amateurs continously, its that bad
Surprised you'd think that, over all of the contenders, they usually hold a speed, power, and defensive advantage and outright technique. :huh
in all honesty, Amir Khan. I watched him since 08 again ***an...fight got my attention as he hand great handspeed and great skills.... Its not the fight that disappoints me, it is his attidude... lol, i can beat this and i can beat that..everything is gifted to this idiot...he is lucky to get a shot a DA if the deal goes thru
Mayweather- Mayweather is an all-time great and was probably near his peak and in an insanely deep division around 2006. For several years we should have seen Mayweather against peak versions of Cotto, Mosley, Pac, Williams, Margarito, etc. The Hatton and DLH fights are fine but then we get Baldomir and a 2 year retirement and never saw those other fights when they should have happened, that was very disappointing. Kevin Johnson- He had the physical tools and skillset to be a serious heavyweight several years back. He turned out to be too lazy and lacked the drive to be a top heavyweight. Andre Dirrell- Sort of a 168 version of Johnson.
I agree, I really liked Hamed and thought he would be an ATG. So disappointing the way his career ended Also Chris Eubank not so much disappointed, but thought he could have done a lot more with his talent, always seemed to coast to victory doing the bare minimum. Would have loved to have seen chhis take on the yanks in his prime
Hamed's a great shout. Would love to have seen him hang about and try his hand on Morales and Marquez
First of all: I can not be disappointed, because those guys are risking there lives for popularity, success and their fans (ok, money as well). But I'm not standing in the ring, they are. So there can be no disrespect from me. Still, as a german boxing fan, actually Abraham and Sturm. We don't have a lot of good boxers these days (did we ever have?) So, those two were hyped as **** over here and both seemed very good. Sturm had a good run and clearly beat ODLH and Abraham had great power and that great win against washed up and shot to **** Taylor. But then the crap began: Sturm had very good speed, movement, footwork and an insane jab. I will not say that he was a wrecking machine, but he was a solid belt holder. From one day to the other he just started being shitty. He didn't use his jab and just stood there and didn't any any hands. I mean, against Zbik I thought it
