Has there ever been a heavyweight limit? The Cruiserweight division was increased from 190 to 200lbs a number of years ago.

Has middleweight always been <160lbs and light heavyweight <175lbs ?

Technically speaking a fighter can enter the ring at 161lbs and fight in the heavyweight division.

its nothing with them ... they have glass chin and they have to live with it,
unless they are enhanced genetically like Froch or Calzaghe

What is it with American's Wilder, Mitchell, Ward, Hearns, Judah all with their shocking chins, nothing to do with being British every country has glass and good chinned fighters. Eubank and Froch have 2 of the best chins in history, Calzaghe had a great chin and Hatton, Farr ect plenty of Brits have had good chins and plenty bad its a personal thing not a nationality thing.

Ken Buchanan, Benny Lynch and Jim Watt had chins of cast Iron, up there if not better than Eubank and Froch. Most Scottish world class fighters seem to have possessed Iron beards and it gets overlooked. Even our paper champs Scott Harrison and Ricky Burns had/have good chins.

    Haha. /end thread.

Only on ESB does being knocked down by a professional fighter make you glass jawed. The funny thing is I'd bet money that in real life these 'men' are utter cowards.

It does seem to be the case that a lot of top level British fighters have glass jaws. Of course, there are quite a few glass jawed fighters here in the U.S., too. Deontay Wilder is only the latest in a long line of fragile-chinned U.S. fighters.
