I agree. If I was handling him, I would put him in with someone who has an iron chin and good stamina, but without great power. Let him get some rounds in that aren't so dangerous. Although Chisora has been stopped, I think it would be a good fight for him. Chisora isn't very heavy handed, but has good stamina and chin. Plus, he isn't going to just fold. You already know he's coming to fight.
Someone who can last to the end, Although I don't think wilder is punch drunk, so stamina wise he should be ok Great finisher Could be the real deal
It would be good for Wilder. To fight against fighters with good/great chins and solid skills like Guinn , Johnson, etc. he can learn and improve. When he fights guys who he easily KO´s in one single round or 2 at the most his learning process will stagnate. He has great power, speed and athleticism, combinated with his size. He is dangerous for anyone in the Division.
How bout Chauncey Welliver. He has insane conditioning an iron chin and relentlessly walks down punchers. Wilder would be forced to fight on the inside or be moreso inclined to potshot to a decision. it would be a huge test of Wilders stamina while at the same time not risking the KO loss.
To be honest, Welliver´s chin is a bit overrated. He hasn´t fought hard punchers, so it´s a bit of a secret how good his chin actually is. But he is also a step down from the white wolf IMO. Easy KO-victory for Wilder.
My only concern is those spaghetti legs He needs conditioning work and flesh them chicken legs out He could really be great, just want to see him show some of that promise on the big stage A David haye fight, maybe chisora would be perfect
Look at Jon Jones. Everyone said he has so thin legs and when he will fight Shogun, he will get destroyed with the 1st leg kick thrown, well, we know what happened... it doesn´t automatically mean something (the size of his legs)
Not a chance, as Wilder has a glass chin and has been in trouble already vs Journeyman. Having said that, brilliant marketing move by team Wilder. These days beating a name Eastern Euro fighter, even a washed up one is a key steeping stone on the way up.
He should fight some big tall European fighters before he faces the Klitschko's. Spar with these kind of guys as well.
If he can keep chisora off him and knock him out, then I'll believe he's a real deal , but for now I think he's a glass jawed can crusher.
