Has Juan Manuel Marquez lost more respect than any other boxer lately?

The only people that support him are

    A) blind fuxking Mexican fanboys
    B) Gayweather fans ala vidic

Look the fact is the guy hired a convicted steroid distributor to his team when he could have looked else where and now he is refusing to take extra tests so of course people will have suspicions.

I already had questions when he came into the Pac fight looking how he did. Now, its just pure, unadulterated suspicion. He has to clear his name, he really does.

People got offended when people thought Holyfield was juicing even when it was blatantly obvious. For Marquez, it's getting to the point where it's "F You!" obvious.

Which, if Marquez is somehow 100% clean, he should've known better than to surround himself with someone who has the kind of background where any athlete that hires him will always be under suspicion for PED's. The same way I thought Ward and Donaire were foolish for hiring Conte- even if they're clean, the association tarnishes your image in a sport where image = $$$ just as much as in-ring ability does.

Ward also works or at least did work with Conte.

I feel sorry for people who believe that Timmy is clean.

Because Conte gives interviews to journalists, a sure sign that someone has become a changed man.

Yeah my point exactly, this seems to bypass the majority of posters here. So by this logic all 3 fighters are on peds.

I have to say though, Marquez and his team should have made a statement in regards to the matter.

Well, let's be real: no fighter with their kind of payroll is going to test negative on any test that can be used. So, I can't say all 3 are on something. There are warning signs.

Hiring dudes like Conte is a huge red flag. I'm not sure why a clean fighter would want that kind of thing associated with their image. If you hire someone like that, you may as well use because otherwise your image gets all the bad rap and you get none of the benefits. And any legal benefits you get will be attributed to untraceable PED's.

And, in Juan's case, there's more red flags- such as developing a bodybuilder physique at such an advanced age while still doing enough conditioning work for a tough 12 round fight. That's not how things typically work.
