    So because he dominates most guys hes not as good as, say your fighters who get into battles lol? huh... Castill gave a one armed floyd trouble, since then nobodys come close.. cotto apparently did yet only won 3 rounds lol..

    You have Marquez as the best fighter in the world? You do know that Floyd dominated him? And even in a rematch 90% on ESB would call it a cherrypick for Floyd.

    maybe I missed something, but Floyd deliberately skipped weight when fighting marquez
    marquez is a helluva dangerous fighter and the advantage should've been bringing him up in weight
    but Floyd not even trying to make weight has to leave a bad taste in the mouth

    The "*****'s" who are really the Floyd haters rate Floyd so high,no matter who he fights is a walk in the park lol... They do not realize they are putting him on a pedastal..

    There are 0 pundits who dispute Floyd is # 1 pound for pound.
    He was # 1 before all the fights you mentioned. A 1 1/2 hiatus
    isn't really gonna detract from that status, especially since he
    picked up where he left off.

    I agree there are zero pundits who dispute that Floyd is #1 that's why I said the "general consensus". But P4P lists are opinion based and I've given mine and the reasons why I think that way.

    Floyd was not ranked #1 before all the fights I mentioned. He was not ranked by anybody pre JMM and it was only post Pac/JMM 3 that most had him at #1. The Ring had the top spot vacant until Pac/JMM 4.

    The way I see it is, how do you explain to someone new to the sport that JMM is the best P4P fighter in the world, when he lost every round to the man ranked 2. It just doesn't make any sense to me, Floyd is by far and away the best fighter in the sport atm.

    Floyd was # 1 PFP in 05,06, and 07 before his hiatus? :huh
    That was definitely before the fights you mentioned.

    ****, trying to explain the concept of p4p to guys who have been watching for years can be an exercise in futility. just raed some of the posts on this thread.
    I have rigo above floyd right now. his dominance over nonito is better than anything floyd has done in many years, and it only took him a dozen fights to reach that level.

    Floyd retired in 07. He vacated. Up to the Pac/JMM 4 fight he was not the consensus #1
    As I've pointed out a few times P4P lists is not based on entire careers. It is based on who are the best fighters today 11/08/2013.

    What Floyd was doing or anyone else in 05,06,07 is irrelevant.

    Rigo is the only fighter who can possibly challenge Floyd as #1 in a true pound for pound sense.


    I think it's extremely close and can respect the rankings either way. But as much as I do like JMM? No. Not quite. Ward? No. Definitely not.

    :patsch Up until the Pac-JMM 4 he wasn't #1. In who's book? Most people already had him there.
