Has Juan Manuel Marquez lost more respect than any other boxer lately?

I can respect everything you said except your statement about body transformation. As weegriffin stated, Marquez has always had a chiseled physique, especially from 130 lbs on up. Just go look at his weighin pictures.
The only difference from then to now is quite naturally his body is thicker as he's fighting at 147 lbs for Gods sake.

I personally think he looks in better physical shape in his fight with Pacquiao at 130 lbs. Lean and chiseled. His body defined and looking great for both power and speed.

Got to remember here, Marquez officialy weighin at 143 lbs for fight 4 with Pacquiao. Pacquiao who is naturally the smaller fighter was at the full 147 lbs.

I'm ok with the suspicions because of Heredia, just dont agree with the body transformation bull**** when except for the Mayweather fight where he resorted to ancient method of lifting boulders over his head and throwing them, Marquez' body has always looked primed and chiseled.

You want an example of body transformation and thats Fernando Vargas transforming the baby fat he always carried in the ring with him onto pure chisled muscle for the DLH fight.
Now thats something that did'nt pass the eye test, but with Marquez you cant really say that as his body has always been chiseled for the weight class.

The only people who're delusional are his supporters.
Comes back with a known steroid distributor that gets Marquez in the best shape of his life at 39 and look what happens.

I agree he's always come in shape. No this isn't Barry Bonds where you put on 35lbs and sweat horse oil testosterone out of your head which has ironically grown four hat sizes but it was noticeable.

Again, he's never been caught doing anything illegal. But when you take everything into account some people are going to be suspicious. I hope nothing concrete does surface. I've been a fan of his for a long time.

Exactly. I couldn't agree more. I think Marquez is a warrior, and an honorable dude, but I feel that perhaps he evened the playing field because, of the prevalence at that level of ped use, I feel Pac and Mayweather are on anabolics and hgh. It' s a suspicion without concrete evidence with each fighter having some shady aspects on both sides. I don't feel boxing is any different than any other sport, and the earlier thread with the WADA ex chairman listing boxing so high, was a mild surprise, but it makes sense.

It's weird because, PED use and a cultural understanding of sports as coorperate business has become so widely accepted, I feel a sort of 'numbness' to PED use, even though it's deemed as cheating, because I guess I almost expect it on this level.

How does he lose he respect by leveling the playing field against a guy who has been ducking tests for years! Just because the *******s now make a stink about it? Everything being equal JMM on roids beats Pacroid. Don't *******s say PEDs don't give you KO power? Now it does?

I lost respect for Marquez when he hired the top steroid expert in the world as his conditioning coach, who is also the world's top drug testing cheat. This guy testified in court against his fellow cheaters to keep from going to prison. This was all over the news, yet Marquez still hired him.

Still butt hurt from KTFO6? JMM had a "protein shake" like Pacquiao. What's the big deal?

He is still regarded as a genuine warrior by many, Pacquiao was and still is regarded as a genuine warrior and fighter of the decade even though he openly refused testing in general. Fact is, fans have absolutely no clue whatsoever about what happens behind cameras. Sure Marquez is refusing a certain organization but there's definitely more than one reason behind it. Marquez is THE man entering this fight, why would he succumb to Bradley's demands?. There are many things that happen down under that people know nothing of yet still pretend they know all and judge based on articles and as we all know every writer, like all normal human beings, would favor a certain fighter over the other which results in hype/support or false rumors. One thing's certain, not everything that goes on will be spoken publicly as it could be fatal.

If it was illegal to hire him he wouldn't have been able to. Don't blame Marquez, blame the authorities.

    A) His body has gone through an amazing transformation, past the age of 35, and it shows in his new-found KO punching power.
    B) He's working with someone who has admitted to having undetectables, and who has a confirmed history of peddling PED's.
    C) Marquez is refusing drug testing for agencies that are not associated with his trainer, even though he signed up for it.

You really see no issue in this whole Marquez-drugs situation? Maybe you think the issue is lesser than what it is being made out to be, or is it that you see absolutely no problem at all?

    A) an amazing transformation is one hell of an overstatement, and there is no "new-found" punching power. His career KO ratio is higher than Pacquiao's and he's had Pacquiao badly hurt several times in their four fights, including the first one when he buckled the **** out of him. He just landed a perfect right hand counter which Pacquiao ran right into the last time around.
    B) Yes, he has a history of peddling PEDs and he claims he had "undetectables". He's also a confirmed snitch.
    C) Have you read the contract that he signed, or are you just repeating something someone else said? Surely if Marquez signed a contract stating that he had to undergo VADA testing and he's failing to comply with that contract there would be some legal ramifications. Why wouldn't Bradley post the contract online for everyone to see after Arum advised him to read it to see that he was making false claims in interviews?

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out that any professional athlete was using PEDs, but I haven't seen any real proof whatsoever that JMM is.

Fight to fight, Marquez' physique is impressive, as is Pacquiao's.

In each of the pictures, Pacquiao is leaner with more muscle definition than Marquez. Marquez however being the naturally bigger fighter, looks thicker in each picture than Pacquiao.

Marquez' upper body is naturally bigger than Pacquiao's and that goes with all four fights.

Dont see where this huge body transformation some people talk about for fight 3 and 4.
