Just realised, how on earth did Kiko secure a IBF title shot, when Frampton has just revealed he is facing Parodi Oct 19th in what will be an eliminator, not final, for the belt held by Romero.

Wasn't Frampton within mandatory status? Kiko was convincgly beaten by the Jackal so how did he go straight into a title shot after an easy night in Argentina??

Won a UD over Prado who Quigg knocked out in 3. Great.

As anyone with a brain suspected moving to BoxNation would always mean a huge step back for Frampton.

Yes, seems he is going backwards here. He is widely regarded as the best fighter in the divison outside of the big 3. This fight is pointless.

Yes, well that seems to be what happens with uncle rabbit. Frampton is probably a way off geting a world title shot.

The grass isnt always greener, more often than not it isnt...but I know where I'd rather be and the channel I'd prefer to be fightng on.

What a joke,Quigg gets a world title shot and Frampton is fighting an unknown average fighter in front of a limited boxnation audience, and then Barry will be complaining when he feels Frampton isnt getting the press he deserves,Im a big fan of Barry and Carl but they ****ed up here.

Sorry don't buy that argument. Rigondeaux couldn't stop Getty but Galahad did. Do you think Galhahd would beat rigondeaux?

Paradoi is same level Martinez just less powerful.
He has more skill though so is not a bad level of competition at all as long as Frampton fights again within 4 months of that fight.

Are you really trying to say this is a good fight? Irish bias is incredible.

The stupidity in this thread is laughable.

There is no problem with this fight. Frampton will move closer to mandatory position with a win. He would have fought the same opponent with Matchroom.

Romero is fighting Kiko as a voluntary. If they wanted Frampton could have offered him the fight.

He is coming back from injury, so what's wrong with a tune up fight? Lets see what happens after 12 months

If you're going to correct someone at least get your facts right.
    Firstly it's Nettey not Netty
    Second it's Prado not Podo
Lastly Arsen Matirosyan is no bum, he gave Munroe a tough night and gave Martinez a very very tough fight the first time they fought, infact Martinez only just about edged that fight late on.

Matirosyan is like a slightly worse version of Martinez, with the main difference being he doesn't hit nearly as hard. Now that's not to say Parodi is some kind of World beater, he's not. But he's a better opponent than William Prado, and considering people can't stop drawing comparisons between Frampton and Quigg and want to match them together so badly, that is somewhat relevant.

As long as Frampton isn't out for too long after this and the net opponent is at least a level above Parodi then I'm okay with this.

How is this bias. Frampton hasn't fought since February and thus sets up a mandatory at a title. what you expect?
