Not long to go now. All the speculation will be answered in the Ring.

I would imagine if Kovalev can hurt Cleverly early the fight will be over soon after. (Typical Kovalev fight) If Cleverly can somehow manage to avoid the big combinations and jabs and hit back, perhaps we get a points win or late KO. If Kovalev hurts Cleverly and he fights back bravely perhaps we get fight of the year.

If Kovalev has more than what we have seen so far. If he can box just as good as Cleverly and his chin is solid and his stamina turns out to be reasonable then I see him being extremely hard to beat.

I think Kovalev comes out to counterpunch at first rather than all out attack in this fight. He will hold his own until a mistake is made, then he will unleash a barrage. I would be very surprised if they don't attack the body.

Kovalev is a huge body puncher, he goes low/high, uses angles, good footwork. It appears that Cleverly is counting on his referee and judges to win the fight for him somehow. Wonder if the ref will allow Kovalev to even punch Cleverly? LOL!

Ive been watching ko highlight reels of kovalov and while he hits hard i remember thinking it didnt look like one punch ko power. Not the kind stevenson hit dawson with. He was stopping people after numurous kd's and most were getting back up. Clevs chin is very good. I doubt clev is getting ko'd.

I think Cleverly has a great chance the longer the fight goes.
He is smart but his competition to date has not been ideal.
He has the ability to adjust in a fight though which should stand to him.

Noticed people are beginning to say Kovalev may have a chin issue, did not see the first Boone fight can anyone give a view on the knockdown against Boone, was he badly hurt, sort of reaction etc.

Strrange how no one was mentioning his chin until now, I wonder if this is reverse psychology from the Clev team to try and throw some doubt into Kov's mind.

Still can't make my mind up, Kov hits like a mule I have seen that with my own eyes but he is loose and Clev is a better boxer than many give him credit for, just don't know if he can take the power.

Boone caught him with a couple of good ones in the second fight and White got through too. I think Kovalev is solid enough all round. Doubts about chin and stamina?, he's done pretty good so far.

Clev's footwork is wank so don't really see how he is like McDonald

So did I but nevertheless he was down in the first Boone fight and I just wondered if anyone actually saw it would be interesting to know what it involved and how he reacted

i don't think there is any video of it. I read an interview with Kovalev where he said he was very happy to get to the end of the fight so that would indictate an exhaustion type kd. Personally I thought he was blowing a bit towards the end of the Simakov fight and suspect he has a dodgy gas tank. I don't think Cleverly will be the one to expose it though, too easy to hit and theyre not the kind of punches you can shrug off no matter how good your chin.

If he can somehow get through the first half of the fight though a clev stoppage wouldnt surprise me in the least.
