Has Andre Berto reached the stage where he could be described as a bum?

But why retire when he could fight Aydin or Lopez and still make decent money? And bring in more money for his family

Most people here type with their emotions why tell someone to retire if they are makjng money to feed their family wtf

Health is more important, the guy has taken severe beatings in his last 3 of his last 4 fights. He won't get back to the top and has regressed as a fighter.

Regardless of how I feel about someones choices, I will always respect their right to choose. We should always have the right to do what ever we want however painful the consequences may be.

Well I dont think he is a bum, however in each of his last fights that he has lost, he showed no ability at all to adapt, has shown a subpar beard and doesn't seem to think, just punches. His athletic ability is the only reason I personally wouln't call him a bum (this coming from a fan, although his stock is dwindling) .... As far as skill set, with the exception of his counter uppercut (a la Zab) they are very mediocore.

I'm just giving my opinion on it. If he continues to fight on that's on him. I just think he's gone as far as he's going to go in this game and will only continue to take more and more punishment if he fights on. At the end of the day it's his decision and not mine.

Nah, he can still fight but it's obvious that he now goes out of his way to give the fans( and promoter) action rather than actually trying to win.

Berto is no bum...................he needs to rest and recover, then take an easy fight before coming back........
