Well he should be in better shape than barker, because he just fought 2 feather fisted no bodies. Sturm and Mundine outweigh all of Barkers wins combined.

Horrible basis, just say you don't like him, you'll come across smarter.

Mundine & Sturm are any better? please.. sturm lost to Soliman ffs. Sturm has 17 KOs from 44 fights. Mundine had a better KO ratio. I dont hate Geale at all.

I actually admire and respect Geale. read what I actually wrote. Mostly it is complimentary to Geale. But facts is facts. It is hard to name any single boxing skill AT WORLD CLASS level that Geale is even very
good at never mind exceptional. He has gone a long way with what he has….a great engine, high workrate, tough chin, and real mental steel. he will probably win against Barker. there I said it. He will probably win AGAIN ..against yet another fairly ordinary opponent, no disrespect to Barker, his lack of physicality will probably let him down again.
But the Tazmanian Tapper does NOT have a great jab avoid o e yes, does NOT have a great defence a mediocre one at best, is NOT a great body puncher…....etc etc land most of all he has ZERO punch power at top level. Every single third tier opponent …and lets face it he has been in contact with more stiffs than an undertaker.....has taken him the full 12. check boxrec. Like I say facts is facts. In terms of punch Geale is a Feather Fisted Flapper. Offhand I genuinely cannot think of ever seeing a so called top level middleweight/champion with a weaker punch than Geale, and I am going back a long way here. If you can think of one please name him for me. And yes Sturm did beat him…and will again if he gets past Barker.

Lencore, Van Horn and De Witt did not punch as hard as Geale and Steve Collins punched about as hard as Geale. Collins won his fights on toughness and workrate. He wore down two great fighters in Eubank and Benn and he is lauded as a hero, albeit over the pond. Just cause Geale is not a murderous puncher he's suddenly a bum? I had Geale beating Sturm handily, 8 rounds to 4 on my card. Get the video up and have a look at round 9. Strurm is out on his feet and the cumulative effect of Geale's punches and the wicked tempo almost do him in. I give him alot of credit for surviving and that's all he did in the last 4 rounds. What people don't talk about is Geale's angles and fast feet. Mundine was hitting air all night and Sturm tagged him once (in the 4th). I believe GGG vs Geale will be another Lacy vs Calzaghe type situation. Hyped fighter, with good power and suspect record (GGG) against a volume puncher, with a sickening workrate (Geale). In saying that Calzaghe had minimal head movement and gave limited angles. Look out GGG I say.......

Oscar gave up his IBF belt cause there was $$ fighting Genaro Hernandez than his mandatory Miguel Julio. Barrera gave up his IBF belt because there was more $$ fighting Morales again than defending against his mandatory Cassius Baloyi. There are literally dozens of other examples. This continued line of tact you take regarding Geale being stripped lacks credence.

Van Horn was not a middleweight champ. And Doug De Witt was a fledgling WBO champ, and was absolutely not remotely the man at the time.

Steve Collins was a harder puncher, because he was fighting guys like McCallum , Johnson and Eubank he got less kos than most fighters. But look what he did to Chris Pyatt and ask yourself could Geale do the same.
