Yeah, and only down once against Chris Avalos despite making some dumb mistakes on the night.

It reminded me of another Colombian former champ, Yonnhy Perez.

The guy would just get hammered by pretty big punchers (Mares, King Kong, Darchinyan) and wobble but almost never go down...and never out.

Wow Kiko Martinez a powerful engine that would never stop tonight!!! I scored the first five rounds for Martinez, 4-1 rounds, 49-45 points, giving Martinez the 1st round 10-8, and giving Romero the 2nd round. Think this fight was decided in the 1st round, when at first Martinez had Romero backed up against the ropes, and Romero seemed content to let Martinez punch himself out, only Martinez was landing a ton of heavy body shots and then caught Romero with some decisive head shots, and Romero was then scrambling and backing up most of the rest of the fight. I give credit to Romero for a very good chin, and in the 6th he finally started taking more offensive and landing some decent shots. But Martinez was a 1-dimensional relentless machine, constantly moving forward, with punch output to rival Santa Cruz, scoring with heavy body work, and consistently landing head shots on the taller Romero, who didn't show the boxing skills or veteran savvy to keep Martinez off him, probably because he was so compromised by that decisive 1st round. Brilliant career-best win for Martinez!!! Also, a shout-out to both Rendall Munroe and Carl Frampton, whose respective two decision wins and one stoppage over Martinez look even better now!!!

    WTF are you talking about?

Kellerman was speculating, not without reason, that Chavez will likely not be able to make 160 anymore.

What possible reason do you have to speculate that Ward can't make 168? :blood

    Completely different.
