Macklin has about the same ko% as your clown Stevens, and fought much better competition. He knocked down the number one rated middleweight. What has Curtis done besides gettimg knocked out by a guy who is 1-17 in his last 18 fights?

Golovkin had 350 amateur fights. I can watch him and tell he is excellent fighter, with speed, defense, footwork, power to spare, etc. Stevens refuses to fight Golovkin for the title? Why not? $300,000 plus a title shot? Who in the Hell would turn that down?!

Good. No one wants to see GGG fight a cab driver. Maybe now Martinez will grow a pair of balls and fight the real champion GGG.

Macklin would bet whipped overnight if he fought at 168.

Macklin couldn't even KO or beat Felix Sturm...a guy that was KTFO by the featherfisted shot to hell ghost of Javier Castillejo:lol:

You may not ne equipped to admitt this but Stevens is a puncher and Macklin is not.

Actually Curtis should take the money and fight, I remember Zab
taking about $125,000 against Spinks in the rematch and look
    what happened.

Excuse me if I'm not impressed by a 31 year old fighter that has Macklin as his biggest win.

If he beats Golovkin then who is else there to make any money against at 160????

This fight has to be BUILT UP.:deal

GG and Stevens don't want to make the same mistake Bradley and Alexander made.

There isn't a lot of money at 160...

You also don't want to go the JuanMa - Gamboa route either.
I wouldn't mind both on the same card first, then each other
ie....pavlik and taylor, but you don't want these fights to
    marinate too long

The only mistakes in Bradley-Alexander were picking a "wtf" venue (the massive HBO guarantee made it profitable for both anyways), and Don King picking Kotelnik as the build up fight for Devon.

Had Alexander dominated in his hometown leading up to the Bradley fight, that fight would've been bigger and easier to hype. Getting a dodgy hometown decision against a handpicked opponent who'd been told to lose left a sour taste in fans' mouths and killed the hype for Bradley-Alexander, even with the media still trying to portray it as an impressive performance for Devon.

Kotelnik not going along with the script and costing King money is also why he's been blackballed- not only did King never entertain the thought of a rematch, he never let Kotelnik fight after that.
