Good action fight with world class heart and determination....Very pleased for Barker, such a nice, cool guy.

Well there would be alot less hassle if they just had one belt for the divison. Still it seems like everyone has a champion in the divison anyways in Martinez.

Golovkin is the runner up for the position for the champion.

It is what it is though.

Barker vs Geale was at the end of the day a B level fight. But nobody claims them to be the best of the division, they train hard and fight hard just like anyone else in history and deserve respect.

I knew Barker when I was young and never did I think itl be possible for that brown haired guy to become world champ..But he did.

Barker is good for boxing if he manages to face guys like Quillin, Martinez again and GGG because one thins is for sure, Barker is a solid, solid fighter.

Respect is there for both they have the toughest job in the world i know how hard a am fight can get i dont even want to start think the emotions and pain they go through in a 12 round grueling fight.

im just stating that that wasnt worthy of a world tittle and that the level has dropped considerably in skill set.

would you tell any young aspiring boxer too study geale and barker.

If you are comparing Barker and Geale to Toney/Mccallum/ Nunn era, thats just unfair.

Those dudes would be a major test to ANY MW boxing era.

But as I said they are not the number one in teh MW division. Possibly 5/6th

Back in the day we saw guys like Iran Barkley get a belt and stake a claim as being the best...

The only difference we have now are the ABC belts, but that shouldnt make a real boxing fan want to not watch boxing

Boxing is a truly international sport, I think both fighters done not just themselves proud but also there respective countries. I for one, have never been a fan of all the trash talk, talking about each others mothers etc..., which is so common in the states.

how is it unfair all world champions in there respective era. that is my point that the levels have dropped and we now accept b level figthters as world champions.

constant mis match fights forced me to cool off watching it

Those two guys gave their all They fought their hearts out in a very close contest.
Really neither guy deserved to lose. This is BOXING!!!!! If you don't like it don't watch it.
I would much prefer to see a genuine fight like this that watch Floyd Mayweather run & hide against cherry picked opponents or watch the Klitschko's prance about like giant fairies against no hoper opposition.
I guess you pay your $$$$$ & take your choice Mayweather aint stealing none of my $$$$$$$$$

ROFLMAO And just what did Calzaghe do for middleweight boxing???? Nothing , Nada , Ziltch. He cherry picked his opponents, only fought at home , ducked every legitimate opponent who appeared dangerous. If Calzaghe was only half as good as he thinks he was he'd have been a decent fighter

totally missing my point mate no one is disputing that it was a genuine fight and that they didnt fight there hearts out. im talking about the standard has dropped off. surely yo can see that.

im not all fond on mayweather but his skill set i am.
klits cant stand what vitally is doing with that belt is a shambles and the wbc are worse.

go watch vargas v wright great fight 10x what geale barker was and the skill set is second to none
